Klíčová slova: systémová sklerodermie – revmatická onemocnění – systémové onemocnění pojiva – fibróza – vaskulopatie – autoimunita, Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare, chronic connective tissue disease affecting the skin, musculoskeletal system and internal organs. SSc occurs predominantly in women, begins usually in middle age, and the overall survival rate is reduced – 70% of patients survive 10 years. Despite the advances in pharmacotherapy of organ complications and new insights into the pathogenesis of SSc, there is no effective treatment for this serious disorder. The aim of this review article is to introduce this rare disease, its main symptoms, basic principles of diagnosis and current treatment, and contribute to early diagnosis and better prognosis of patients with SSc. Keywords: systemic sclerosis – rheumatic diseases – connective tissue disease – fibrosis – vasculopathy – autoimmunity, and Tomčík M.
This work presents a summary of current knowledge on the laboratory diagnosis of periodontitis. It focuses on the theoretical foundations and is supplemented with new knowledge. It subsequently describes specifically the laboratory diagnosis methods of periodontitis: the protein expression of inflammation, oral microbiology and molecular diagnostics. Periodontitis is a serious disease worldwide and its confirmed association with systemic diseases means its severity is increasing. Its laboratory diagnosis has the potential to rise to the level of clinical and diagnostic imaging. The transfer of diagnostic methods from laboratory to clinical use is increasingly used in the prevention and monitoring of the exacerbation and treatment of periodontal disease, as well as of its impact on systemic disease. and B. Souborný referát shrnuje rysy nejčastějších nádorových postižení skeletu páteře na základních zobrazovacích metodách - skiagrafii, počítačové tomografii (CT) a magnetické rezonanci (MR). Předkládá základní diferenciálně diagnostickou rozvahu a rozebírá přínos jednotlivých typů vyšetření u jednotlivých postižení., This review article summarises radiological features of most common tumorous lesions of spine on X-ray, CT and MR imaging. The main differential diagnostic abnormalities are presented and the value of the individual imaging methods is noted., Marek Mechl, Andrea Šprláková-Puková, Miloš Keřkovský, and Literatura
PET/CT s podáním fluorodeoxyglukózy je významnou metodou umožňující na základě míry akumulace fluorodeoxyglukózy posoudit agresivity renálního karcinomu., Renal cell carcinoma reaches the highest incidence in the Czech Republic world wide. The most important role of the imaging methods is to distinguish it in between the all solid and cyst-like renal lesions. Even the ultrasound (sometimes including application of contrast material) remains the basic imaging method, CT-angiography and MR-angiography is the most important recent methods to display its own tumorous tissue including the vessels supplying the tumor and the whole kidney. Magnetic resonance is able to improve the differential diagnosis in hypo-vascular (especially papillary renal cell carcinoma) when the diffusion weighted imaging is used. PET/CT is enabling to estimate the aggressiveness of the renal cell carcinomas according their level of fluorodeoxyglucose accumulation., Jiří Ferda, Jan Kastner, Eva Ferdová, Hynek Mírka, Jan Baxa, Milan Hora, Ondřej Hes, Jindřich Fínek, Boris Kreuzberg, and Literatura 15
