The paper aims at a clarification of Frege’s antipsychologism. It analyses Frege’s putting into opposition of logic/mathematics and psychology. It then investigates the historical roots of Frege’s views in Kant’s Critique of Pure Reason and in J. Müller’s and H. von Helmholtz’s physiological psychology. It explicates also how the opposition between Frege’s (third) realm of thoughts and that of representations is rooted in the opposition of a transcendentally understood subject (consciousness) and a naturalistic understanding of an empirical subject (consciousness), as well as its implications in the philosophy of logical positivism/empiricism. Finally, by drawing on Habermas’ linguistico-pragmatically grounded understanding of the lifeworld it shows how that opposition can be overcome and how to understand Frege’s realm of thoughts, Příspěvek se zaměřuje na objasnění Fregeho antipsychologismu. Cieľ: Včasná diagnostika a liečba infekcie horných močových ciest je v detskom veku náročná a veľmi dôležitá vzhľadom na prognózu ochorenia. Cieľom našej práce bolo overiť možnosti využitia merania indexu rezistencie počas akútnej pyelonefritídy pri diagnostike ochorenia a pri určovaní rozsahu postihnutia obličiek. Metódy: Do súboru bolo zaradených 53 detí (43 dievčat, 10 chlapcov) vo veku 0-19 rokov s prvým atakom akútnej pyelonefritídy. Pacienti boli rozdelení do troch vekových skupín - deti do 4 rokov, od 4 do 7 rokov a deti nad 7 rokov a porovnávali sa so skupinou 29 detí bez príznakov akútnej infekcie a s normálnou funkciou obličiek. U 37 detí sme urobili analýzu rozsahu postihnutia zápalovým procesom. U všetkých pacientov bolo realizované ultrasonografické vyšetrenie uropoetického traktu do 72 hodín od začiatku hospitalizácie zamerané na morfológiu obličiek a meranie indexu rezistencie (RI) prostredníctvom dopplerovskej sonografie. Vo všetkých troch vekových kategóriách boli zistené signifikantne vyššie hodnoty RI pri zápalom postihnutých obličkách oproti obličkám kontrolnej skupiny. Výsledky: U 24 detí (64,8 %) išlo o unilaterálny zápalový proces a u 13 detí (35,2 %) išlo o proces bilaterálny. Záver: Na základe výsledkov možno skonštatovať, že meranie RI má výrazný prínos v diagnostike nejednoznačných prípadov akútnej pyelonefritídy, ako aj v možnosti určenia rozsahu postihnutia obličiek a možno ho odporučiť ako diagnostický postup doplňujúci štandardné diagnostické metodiky., Aim: Early diagnosis and treatment of infections of the upper urinary tract in children is difficult and very important with regard to the prognosis of the disease. The aim of our study was to verify the possibility of using measurements of resistivity index during acute pyelonephritis in the diagnosis of disease and to determine the extent of renal involvement. Methods: 53 children were eligible in the group (43 girls, 10 boys) at the age of 0-19 years at the first attack of acute pyelonephritis. The patients were divided into three age groups - children up to 4 years, 4 to 7 years and children older than 7 years and they were compared with a group of 29 children without symptoms of acute infection and normal kidney function. Ultrasonography examination of uropoietic tract oriented to kidney morphology was performed in all patients up to 72 hours from the beginning of hospitaliza-tion and RI was measured by beans of Doppler sonography In all the three age categories the authors detected significantly higher values of RI in kidneys affected by inflammation as compared with kidneys of the control group. Results: In 24 children (64.8%) was a unilateral inflammatory process and in 13 children (35.2%) was a bilateral process. In this paper, we discuss why deduction is not sufficient for knowledge representation of programs with commonsense. Requirements of representation of incomplete, evolutive and conflicting knowledge led to a rise of alternative logic formalisms, dubbed nonmonotonic logics. Important features of nonmonotonic logic were discussed on the example of default logic - a role of assumptions in reasoning, use of fixpoint constructions as a formal tool for building a nonmonotonic semantics and, finally, computational aspects of nonmonotonic reasoning. This overview is completed by a presentation of our approach to updates. Updates are closely connected to nonmonotonic reasoning. We construct our approach for assumption based frameworks (and for default theories, as a consequence)., V tomto příspěvku diskutujeme, proč dedukce není dostatečná pro reprezentaci znalostí programů se zdravým rozumem. Požadavky na reprezentaci neúplných, evolutivních a konfliktních znalostí vedly ke vzniku alternativních logických formalismů, tzv. Nonmonotonic logics. Významné rysy nemonotonické logiky byly diskutovány na příkladu výchozí logiky - role předpokladů v uvažování, použití fixpointových konstrukcí jako formálního nástroje pro budování nemonotonické sémantiky a nakonec výpočetních aspektů nemonotonického uvažování. Tento přehled je doplněn prezentací našeho přístupu k aktualizacím. Aktualizace jsou úzce spojeny s nemonotonickým uvažováním. Poruchy spánku patria k najčastejším non‑motorickým prejavom u pacientov s Parkinsonovou chorobou (PCh), v populačných štúdiách je uvádzaný ich výskyt až u 60 % pacientov. Štúdie tiež uvádzajú rozdielnosť prejavov PCh medzi mužmi a ženami. Cieľ: Zistiť, či sú u pacientov s PCh na Slovensku prítomné medzi pohlaviami rozdiely v klinických prejavoch PCh a výskyte porúch spánku. Materiál a metódy: Zisťovanie bolo robené dotazníkovou metódou s účasťou pacientov a neurológov z jednotlivých regiónov Slovenskej republiky. Dotazníky boli vyplňované počas rutinných kontrolných návštev. Boli zisťované socioekonomické premenné ako pohlavie, vek, vek pri začiatku ochorenia, stupeň poškodenia hodnotený škálou Hoehna a Yahrovej, dominujúci fenotyp ochorenia a používaná medikácia. Pri hodnotení porúch spánku bola použitá slovenská verzia dotazníka PDSS. Výsledky: Získali sme dáta od 1 067 pacientov. Pri porovnávacích analýzach neboli zistené podstatné rozdiely vo väčšine hodnotených parametrov. U mužov bol o niečo vyšší podiel pacientov s hodnotou škály Hoehna a Yahrovej 4 a boli zistené signifikantne vyššie dávky levodopy v monoterapii (p < 0,01). Významné rozdiely boli zistené v skóre škály PDSS pre hodnotenie rušivých halucinácií počas noci – skóre u mužov bolo 8,22, u žien 8,48 (p < 0,05). Podobný výsledok sme zaznamenali v skóre hodnotiacom nutnosť močenia počas noci – u mužov bolo skóre 5,90, u žien 6,53 (p < 0,01). Differences in symptoms between men and women have been reported. Aim: In the present study, we assessed whether there are gender differences in clinical presentation of PD and prevalence of sleep disturbances in individuals diagnosed in the Slovak Republic. Material and method: Questionnaires were distributed to participating neurologists and patients in outpatient practices across the Slovak Republic. Sociodemographic variables – gender, age, age at onset, disease severity according to Hoehn and Yahr stage, phenotype of the dominating symptom of Parkinson’s disease and type of medication – were collected. The Slovak language version of the PDSS was used in a questionnaire to test sleep disturbances. Results: Data from 1,067 outpatients with PD were collected. Comparative analyses showed males and females not to be significantly different on the majority of the demographic and medical characteristics collected. Males had a slightly higher proportion of individuals with Hoehn and Yahr score 4 and, among those taking levodopa medication as monotherapy, males took significantly higher levodopa dose than females (p < 0.01). A significant difference in the distribution of PDSS subscores between males and females was observed on item 7 (distressing hallucinations at night) – score for males 8.22, for females 8.48, p < 0.05.
