- Description:
- An exhibition by the Museum of Moravian Slovakia in Uherské Hradiště Aj to sú maléři od boha samého. Lidoví malíři rodu Hánů z Blatnice pod Svatým Antonínkem (Oh, What Painters, Sent by God Himself: Folk Painters of Hána Family from Blatnice pod Svatým Antonínkem), documenting the production of folk painters, father and son, František and Josef Hána, was acknowledged in the year 2008 by Ethnographical society members as the exhibition of the year. The exhibition, which was also exposed in Brno in 2008, was supplemented with a colour publication of the same title. Alena Křížová reviewed the exhibition as well as the catalogue. As part of her contribution, Anna Oláhová introduced an exhibition entitled Národopisnou kresbou (Ethnographical Drawing) which took place in 2007 at the Slovak National Museum, Martin. The exhibition took place on the occasion of PhDr. Štefan Mruškovič, CSc. anniversary. It had opened an interesting perspective on the possibility of using documentary drawing in the field of ethnographical documentation. Further accounts include the review of Od kolébky po rakev aneb rodinné obyčeje a obřady v běhu lidského života (From the Cradle to the Coffin - Family Customs and Rituals in the Flow of Human Life) by Vanda Vrlová, an exhibition displayed in Valašské Meziříčí in the division of the Museum of region of Wallachia; and Biedermeier - umění a kutura v českých zemích 1814-1848 (Biedermeier -art and culture in Czech Lands 1814-1848). and Tento abstrakt je společný pro všechny 4 zprávy o výstavách uvedené v oddílu Výstavy

- Description:
- The “Personalia” chapter contains the profiles and bibliographies of works of society members in connection with their important anniversaries or deaths. The first contribution reminds us of the anniversary of the curator of the Institute of Ethnography of the Moravian Museum, Brno, PhDr. Lenka Nováková. In the past years, she has created several exhibitions as an author or a co-author (Jaké bylo oblékání od kolébky k dospívání - What Was the Way of Dressing from Cradle to Adolescence; ...vlastně malý zázrak - ...Actually a Small Miracle; Květiny bílé po cestě - White Flowers on the Road). In her professional work she focuses primarily on traditional textiles. Another person celebrating an anniversary is PhDr. Alena Prudká. At the beginning of her career she worked as an archaeologist. When she became employed in the Museum of South-Eastern Moravia of Zlín, she fully focused on documentation, collection and presentation of folk culture of Eastern Moravia. Apart from implementation of several exhibitions, editing of museum journal Acta Musealia, she collaborated on the new edition of the ethnographical work of František Bartoš. The anniversary of PhDr. Jan Pargač, teacher of the Institute of Ethnology, Charles University, Faculty of Philosophy and Arts, Prague, is remembered in the profile written by Miloš Tomandl., He sums up Pargač’s activities which, in 1880s, concerned traditional concept of teaching, while after 1990 focused on inventive methodologically-methodical, thematic and spatial orientation. recently, he has been carrying out researches in Central Asia. In 2009, an ethnographer, folklorist and museum worker PhDr. Pavel Popelka, CSc. celebrated an anniversary. His activities include collection of folk songs from the Moravian-Slovakian border. At the same time, he is an outstanding folk singer himself. He is involved in broadcasting, film, photographic and literary production. Since 1990, he has been working as the director of J. A. Comenius’s Museum in Uherský Brod. He started organizing a show of video films focused on traditional culture. In his home village Strání he founded an international Festival of Shrovetide Traditions and he took a share in conception and realization of individual years. His publication and popularization activities are also worth mentioning. The Personalia chapter concludes with recollections of the two late ethnologists - PhDr. Karel Fojtík and a non-professional ethnographer from the region of Vysočina - František Háva., and Tento abstrakt je společný pro všech 9 článků uvedených v oddílu Personalia
