The Association for Youth, Science and Technology is a non-governmental, non-profit organization of children and youth. AMAVET brings together 3500 registered active members working in various scientific disciplines. AMAVET plays an important role in conjuction with schools and school institutions, in forming the mindset of young people through informal education, which is becoming a valuable part of a whole life education. The Committee of AMAVET has chosen the ten best student projects on May 6-7, 2008 at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. and Gabriela Adámková.
The finalists of Competition of Scientific and Technical Projects (EXPO AMAVET) at Czech secondary schools proved again that young people are full of enthusiasm and bright ideas. Their projects demonstrated the students’ deep knowledge and interest in research work. and Gabriela Adámková.
During the Brain Awareness Week, held worldwide annually in March, neuroscientists and other brain scientists acquaint the wider public concerning their research activities and their achievements to advance awareness about the progress and benefits of brain research. Brain Awareness Week was created in the USA by the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives in 1996. The thirteenth year of the Brain Awareness Week in the Czech Republic occurred on March 14, 2011.
