The article concerns the new exposition of Türckische Cammer (i.e. Turkish Chamber) which opened 2010 in the residential castle in Dresden. It is the collection of turkish and oriental art (weapons, fashion, tents) collected by the electors of Saxony between the 16th and 19th century. The author pays attention to the new orientalistic explorations made on this collection and to the ways how to interpretate the objects in relation to the discourses of Orientalism and Turkish threat.
