This article deals with the work of a prominent personality from Egypt's cultural and literary community, Tawfiq al-Hakim, who was instrumental in establishing Egyptian drama. he was one of the fist defenders of folk literature and the Thousand and One Nights in Egyptian history, thus playing a crucial role in the incorporation of popular literature into modern pieces of writing. The essay covers al-Hakim's relationship with folk literature from his early childhood to his literary period as an author. Great emphasis in placed on an analysis and literary critique of his most famous play, the Shahrazad, which was inspired by a collection of folk storie. Wetlands are sensitive ecosystems with groundwater table close to the soil surface and they are characteristics with specific biotops, corresponding to the continuous and high soil water content. The National Natural Reserve (NNR) Kláštorské lúky is one of those types of ecosystems in the catchment of Turiec River, Central Slovakia. Social changes in Slovakia led to the management changes of this reserve, and its consequence is replacement of original plants by invasive ones, particularly by weeds. Another unfavourable phenomenon is continuous decrease of groundwater table level, probably as a part of global changes. This work is focusing on evaluation of possible influence of changes in canopy properties due to wetland management on evapotranspiration and its structure, on soil water content changes and on changes of groundwater table level at this area. and Mokrade sú citlivé ekosystémy charakteristické výskytom hladiny podzemnej vody v blízkosti terénu alebo aj na jeho povrchu. Významným mokradným systémom je aj národná prírodná rezervácia (NPR) Kláštorské lúky, ležiaca v povodí rieky Turiec. Zmena vo vlastníckych vzťahoch spôsobila aj zmenu obhospodarovania mokrade a vzácne travinno-bylinné porasty sú postupne nahrádzané spoločenstvami inváznymi, najmä tŕstím. Ďalším nepriaznivým javom, ku ktorému došlo v poslednom období v NPR, je pokles hladiny podzemnej vody (HPV). Táto práca je zameraná na zistenie možného vplyvu manažmentu na evapotranspiráciu a jej štruktúru, na zmeny chodov HPV a na zmeny obsahu vody vo vrchnej vrstve pôdy, spôsobené nahradením pôvodného porastu trávy inváznym porastom - tŕstím.
Results of lysimetric measurements of soil water flow between saturated and unsaturated zone of soil are presented and analyzed. Lysimeters with four different simulated groundwater table below soil surface (50, 100, 150 and 200 cm), five agricultural canopies and four different soil monoliths in, were used and observed during subsequent vegetation periods. From results of measurements it was found, that plant ontogenesis phase together with depth of groundwater table are dominant, followed by soil properties. and Práca obsahuje analýzu výsledkov meraní prítoku vody do koreňovej oblasti pôdy v lyzimetroch s konštantnou polohou hladiny podzemnej vody počas vegetačného obdobia piatich poľnohospodárskych plodín. Hladiny podzemných vôd v lyzimetroch sme udržiavali v štyroch hĺbkach pod povrchom pôdy (50, 100, 150 a 200 cm). Lyzimetre obsahovali monolity štyroch druhov pôd. Z výsledkov meraní vyplýva, že popri dominantnom vplyve hĺbky hladiny podzemnej vody v lyzimetroch na intenzitu prítoku vody z podzemných vôd do koreňovej oblasti pôdy má významnú úlohu ontogenézy rastlín nasledované vplyvom druhu porastu a vlastnosťami pôdy.
