Wittgenstein’s approach to philosophy is closely related not only to the content but also to the form of his investigations. The following paper presents the uniqueness of Wittgenstein’s writing style, namely his use of questions, by comparing part of his work with Austin’s essay. For this purpose a typology of questions with regard to their function in the text is established and applied. The difference between Wittgenstein’s and Austin’s writing style is then documented by the frequency of certain types of questions, and omission of others, and related to some of Wittgenstein’s remarks about his approach to philosophical inquiry. The difference is then summarized tentatively as one between ''pedagogical'' and ''academic'' writing style, which poses questions concerning the translation of Wittgenstein’s investigations into academic prose., Wittgensteinův přístup k filozofii úzce souvisí nejen s obsahem, ale také s formou jeho vyšetřování.
Vybrané artefakty z depotu z Hrádku boli podrobené prvkovým (ICP-MS/ICP-OES) a izotopovým analýzam. Výsledky meraní prispeli k poznaniu pôvodu a druhu medenej suroviny v hromadných nálezoch z konca 5. tisícročia pred Kr. v severozápadnej časti Karpatskej kotliny. Pozornosť je venovaná aj kontaktom medzi epilengyelskou ludanickou a jordanovskou kultúrou. and An assemblage of few early Eneolithic hoard finds has been supplemented in 2009 by copper artefacts coming from a hoard discovered at Hrádok (Nové Mesto nad Váhom district), located in north-western Slovakia. The collection from Hrádok consists mostly of copper-wire jewellery. The presented study describes the results of typological and chronological analyses of spiral-shaped copper jewellery so far unknown in the region of Central Europe. The authors discuss the function of the artefacts, as well as their relation to the copper-wire industries of the type Malé Leváre, its variant Stollhof, and the type Hlinsko. Selected artefacts from the hoard from Hrádok were subjected to element (ICP-MS/ICP-OES) and isotope analyses. The results reveal additional information about the provenance and the type of copper present in hoard assemblages from the north-western part of the Carpathian Basin, dated to the end of the 5th Millennium BC. Contacts between the epilengyel Ludanice and Jordanów cultures are also discussed.
The subject of this paper is a typological classification of the acanthus ornamentation of the Czech manuscripts from the 14th – 15th centuries. The definition of the four types of Czech acanthus ornaments is studied in relation to their genesis and their sources in the illumination in Bohemia, Italy and Western Europe. The ornamentation of the manuscripts of the followed period is confronted with its resources and parallels in the contemporary sculpture and applied arts. The modifications of the types of acanthus is followed in the context of the relations of the Prague workshops with the regional production in the Czech Lands and also from the standpoint of their possible influence on the evolvement of acanthus ornament in the illumination of the Western and Central Europe of the 15 and early 16th centuries. The paper deals also with the possibilities of the content interpretation of the ornament decoration of the Medieval manuscripts and offers other questions and problems to be solved in the further study of this theme.
The paper is engaged with a definition of the typolotgy and modifications fo the caligraphic initials, compared with the typology of painted initials, and also with a comparative study of the terminoloty used in different languages for the specific compositions. The interest is also focused on relations among countries, regions and workshops that participated in the transformations of the caligrafic initials. The subject is studied on a broad period, from the Late Antiquity till the 16th century, but without a typology of fleuronée, only compositions of the body of the initials have been taken into consideration.
