Among the three cultívars of tea, Assam hybrids had a relatively higher net photosynthetic rate (P^) than the China and Cambod types. Though the leaves selected for chlorophyll (Chl) estimation were physiologically mature and identical, wide range of shades in the colour of leaves was observed. No significant difference between cultívars was notíced in Chl (a + b) content, but distinct difference was obtained among certain dones. Chl atb ratío exhibited significant difference between both the cultívars and dones.
Cysteine protease is a superfamily of widespread proteolytic enzymes and plays a major role in larval invasion, migration, exsheathing, survival and immune evasion in parasites. In the present study, the gene coding cysteine proteinase of the nematode Trichinella spiralis (Owen, 1835) was cloned into pQE-80L and subsequently expressed in E. coli JM109. The rTsCP was purified and its antigenicity was identified by Western blot and ELISA. Using anti-rTsCP serum the native TsCP was identified in muscle larval crude proteins. The results of quantitative real-time PCR and immunofluorescence test demonstrated that the TsCP was expressed in all stages of T. spiralis and located mainly in cuticle, stichosome and reproductive organs. The immunisation of mice with rTsCP elicited Th2-predominant immune responses. Anti-rTsCP antibodies could partially inhibit the in vitro larval invasion of intestinal epithelial cells and kill the newborn larvae by an antibody-dependent cell-mediated dose-dependent cytotoxicity. The vaccinated mice exhibited a 54% reduction of adults and a 33% reduction of muscle larvae following challenge infection. The results suggested that the TsCP might be an indispensable protein in Trichinella invasion, development and survival of T. spiralis in hosts, and could be a potential vaccine target against infection., Yan Yan Song, Li Ang Wang, Hua Na Ren, Xin Qi, Ge Ge Sun, Ruo Dan Liu, Peng Jiang, Xi Zhang, Jing Cui, Zhong Quan Wang., and Obsahuje bibliografii
The French sociologist Raymond Aron himself felt that his reflections on the conditions of political action, a topic dealt with in his Introduction à la philosophie de l'histoire, became the basis for his own political involvement. In the book, the problem of action is closely linked to an analysis of man's relationship to history, an analysis that explores the issue of man's ability to know his past and present. This article looks at Aron's attempt to overcome the scepticism of historical relativism, and to regain objectivity. Before explaining this process the author attempts to place the book in its proper historical and intellectual context, and he then reveals how its theme of human action is linked to Aron's epis-temology. According to Aron, choice, action and decision are the three main concepts and requisites positively linked with man's relationship to history. After explaining their relevance, the author shows how Aron uses them to overcome historical relativism and scepticism. This solution is then confronted with the issue of the other, not really elaborated by Aron, and discussed in the light of postmodern thought. The article closes with a look at the question of Aron's existentialism, as his Introduction is often said to resemble Sartre's philosophy.
Set of events from West Bohemian 2008 seismic swarm with known source mechanisms is processed. The events or their slips respectively are clustered into two groups: (i) principal events with slip laying in the main fault plane and (ii) complementary events deviating from that plane. From those slips we constructed image of slip distribution (a new way of data/slip presentation) and from slip distribution and variations we hypothesized about foci zone properties. Namely, we propose that western block is more rigid and compact; the eastern block appears to be constituted from several sub blocks which can interact with each other during the swarm course. Our hypothesis is supported by similar image constructed from relative rupture velocities, which we consider as independent data. The proposed structural model agrees with the existence of the different observed types of source mechanisms. and Kolář Petr, Boušková Alena.
