The paper deals with the stories representing the suicide of Prague (German writing) authors, Christian Heinrich Spieß, Johann Friedrich Ernst Albrecht and Reactions to the Wertheriads, which document the divergent development of cutures of subjectivity (Reckwitz) in Central Europe in the age of Enlightenment. The first part of the paper reconstructs the influence of the radical preromantism and Sturm und Drang, namely The Sorrows of Young Werther in the Bohemian Lands. Next, It compares the Stories written by Spieß and Albrecht with Werther as a paradigmatic text and its model of Subjectivity. It focuses to the Story Die neue Sapfo written by Spieß in 1779, which documents the genesis of his later stories and the development of the conception of the role of the subject., Václav Smyčka., and Obsahuje bibliografické odkazy
The Centre of Excellence Telč (a project of the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the ASCR) was festively opened on October 9, 2012. The venture is being implemented with financial support from the European Union and the Czech Republic through the structural funds and the state budget. The CET project was intended primarily to contribute to the development of Czech and European science by building a European center of excellence. Studie Tomáše Hlobila se zabývá náplní přednášek estetika Johanna Heinricha Dambecka, které Dambeck přednášel během svého pedagogického působení na pražské univerzitě., This article examines contemporaneous reports about two versions of lectures in aesthetics, which were given at Prague University by Johann Heinrich Dambeck (1774–1820). They were recorded by the publisher Joseph Adolf Hanslik (1785–1859) in a manuscript summary in 1819 and a two-volume book published in 1822 and 1823. The article presents a comparison of the two sources in order to determine which parts of the commentary originate with Dambeck and which with Hanslik. The European Research Council (ERC), the first pan-European funding body set up to support investigator-driven frontier research, has been newly established to stimulate scientific excellence by supporting and encouraging the very best scientists, engineers and scholars. The ERC complements other funding activities in Europe such as those of national research funding agencies, and is a flagship component of the Ideas Programme of the European Union´s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).
