Z hlediska epifytických a zejména epixylických (rostoucích na dřevě v různém stupni rozkladu) lišejníků je Žofínský prales zřejmě místem s největší rozmanitostí lišejníků na našem území., Žofín virgin forest forms a unique landscape, which probably predominated in mountain areas before the arrival of humans. Because of the huge diversity of lichens, the reserve is one of the most valuable lichenological localities in the Czech Republic. Many lichen taxa were recorded here for the first time in this country., and Jiří Malíček, Zdeněk Palice.
The effect of salinity on some morpho-physiological characteristics in lisianthus cultivars was investigated. Cultivars namely, Blue Picotee (C1), Champagne (C2), Lime Green (C3), and Pure White (C4), were subjected to salt stress (0-60 mM NaCl) in a sand culture and their responses were measured. Our results showed that as a salinity level increased, growth parameters, relative water content, photosynthetic pigments, and gas-exchange characteristics decreased in all cultivars, while root fresh mass, root/shoot length ratio, electrolyte leakage, and a malondialdehyde content increased. However, the changes were less pronounced in C3 and C4 compared to C1 and C2. The regression analysis of the relationship between salinity levels and seedling height or root/shoot length ratio defined two groups with different slope coefficients: C1 and C2 as salt-sensitive cultivars and C3 and C4 as salt-tolerant cultivars. Shoot dry mass and leaf area tolerance indices were less affected by salinity in C3 and C4 compared to those in C1 and C2. Further, C3 and C4 showed higher photosynthetic rates, greater stomatal conductances, and accumulated greater K+ and Ca2+ contents and K+/Na+ ratios in roots and shoots compared to those in C1 and C2. The results suggests that C3 and C4 could be recommended as resistant cultivars due to maintaining higher growth, water balance, leaf gas exchange, ion compartmentalization, and lower lipid peroxidation in response to salinity compared to C1 and C2., N. To investigate lisinopril effect on the contribution of nitric oxide (NO) and KCa channels to acetylcholine (ACh)-induced relaxation in isolated mesenteric arteries of spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs). Third branch mesenteric arteries isolated from lisinopril treated SHR rats (20 mg/kg/day for ten weeks, SHR-T) or untreated (SHR-UT) or normotensi ve WKY rats were mounted on tension myograph and ACh concentration-response curves were obtained. Westernblotting of eNOS and K Ca channels was performed. ACh-induced relaxations were similar in all groups while L-NMMA and indomethacin caused significant rightward shift only in SHR-T group. Apamin and TRAM-34 (SKCa and IKCa channels blockers, respectively) significantly attenuated ACh-induced maximal relaxation by similar magnitude in vessels from all three groups. In the presence of L-NMMA, indomethacin, apamin and TRAM-34 further attenuated ACh-induced relaxation only in SHR-T. Furthermore, lisinopril treatment increased expression of eNOS, SKCa and BKCa proteins. Lisinopril treatment increased expression of eNOS, SKCa , BKCa channel proteins and increased the contribution of NO to ACh-mediated relaxation. This increased role of NO was apparent only when EDHF component was blocked by inhibiting SKCa and IKCa channels. Such may suggest that in mesenteric arteries, non-EDHF component functions act as a reserve system to provide compensatory vasodilatation if (and when) hyperpolarization that is mediated by SKCa and IKCa channels is reduced, S. Studie Marcuse Zagorskiho je věnována dílu hudebního skladatele Karlheinze Stockhausena. Autor se však na něj zaměřuje z netradičního pohledu, protože zkoumá problematiku a způsob poslechu Stockhausenovy hudby., Karlheinz Stockhausen’s theory of listening reflected essential tenets of his creative practice and aesthetic inclinations. He outlined an admirably tolerant and accepting approach to listening and encouraged different listeners to generate different formal models to describe the same music. His method of listening thereby challenged the perceptual reconstruction of known, pre-existing forms that was so important to listening in the preceding 150 years, and this complemented his compositional challenge to another established aesthetic category – that of the closed musical work. By revealing this aesthetic background, this article shows the significance of Stockhausen’s thinking about listening., Marcus Zagorski., Rubrika: Studie, and České resumé na s. 201, anglický abstrakt na s. 193.
In the history of Czechoslovakia, "normalization" is the name given to the period from the 1969 to the 80´s. It was characterized by initial restoration of which was led by Alexander Dubček (1968-1969) and subsequent preservation of this new status quo. Normalization is sometimes used in a narrower sense to refer only to the period between 1969 and 1971. When Gustav Husák became the leader of the KSČ in place of Alexander Dubček in April 1969 after the military intervention of Warsaw Pact armies, his regime acted quickly to "normalize" the country´s political situation. and JIří Hoppe.
