This paper focuses on the memoirs of František Ježek, politician and member of the Czechoslovak National Democratic Party (after 1935 the National Union). In 1938 Ježek was a member of the Czechoslovak cabinet as the Minister of Public Health. His text is one of the most important unpublished Czechoslovak memoirs dealing with the topic of the Munich Agreement in 1938. Poznání vývoje moravského pravěku ve fázi přechodu z časného do starého eneolitu naráží na řadu problémů, zejména však na omezený počet spolehlivých nálezových celků. Typo-chronologie není, stejně jako radiokarbonová data a genetika, samospasitelná. Je jen jednou z mnoha součástí komplexního pohledu, nicméně součástí, bez níž se v archeologii neobejdeme. Avšak řešení založená na nesprávné práci s radiokarbonovými daty posouvají diskusi mimo mantinely důvěryhodných formulací představ o minulosti. Tento článek diskutuje oba aspekty a na příkladech odhalujících chyby F. Trampoty a P. Květiny v postupu zpracování 14C dat a v interpretaci modelovaných dat ukazuje, že některé jejich závěry nelze považovat za podložené. and Gaining an understanding of the history of Moravian prehistory in the phase of the transition from the proto-Eneolithic to the Early Eneolithic runs headlong into a range of problems, not least of which is the limited number of reliable find units. Like radiocarbon dating and genetics, typo-chronology is no end-all in this situation, merely one of many parts of a complex view, albeit one that it critical to archaeology. An interpretation based on incorrect work with radiocarbon dates pushes the discussion beyond the threshold of credible picture of the past. This article discusses both aspects and, based on examples exposing errors made by F. Trampota and P. Květina in the course of processing 14C dates and interpreting modelled data, demonstrates that some of their conclusions cannot be regarded as sufficiently supported.
Let F be a finite field of characteristic p and K a field which contains a primitive pth root of unity and char K ≠ p. Suppose that a classical group G acts on the F-vector space V. Then it can induce the actions on the vector space \left [ V\bigoplus V \right ] and on the group algebra K\left [ V\bigoplus V \right ], respectively. In this paper we determine the structure of G-invariant ideals of the group algebra K\left [ V\bigoplus V \right ], and establish the relationship between the invariant ideals of K[V] and the vector invariant ideals of K\left [ V\bigoplus V \right ], and establish the relationship between the invariant ideals of K[V] and the vector invariant ideals of K\left [ V\bigoplus V \right ], if G is a unitary group or orthogonal group. The annual Villa Lanna Meetings of Science, or Else? are organized by the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and the Collegium Helveticum, an Institute supported by both the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) and the University of Zurich. They bring together scientists from different fields of research to discuss general aspects of science, the position of science in society and its consequences to humanity. This year, now the 10th meeting was held in Prague from 11-13 January, its topic was Reproducibility - Arts, Science and Living Nature. Evropská společnost pro dějiny vědy určila po Maastrichtu, Krakově, Vídni, Barceloně, Aténách a Lisabonu za místo konání své sedmé mezinárodní konference Prahu. Uskuteční se 22. až 24. září 2016 a její hlavní téma zní „Věda a moc, věda jako moc“.
