This is followed by a parade through the town, attended by the troops, representatives of the Sokol community, the local fire brigade, the gendarmerie, nurses and members of other town associations. The coffin is carried out of the building of the House of Agricultural Enlightenment in Slezská Street in Vinohrady. The funeral procession moves along Blanická and Vinohradská Streets. Deputy of the National Assembly František Staněk, Prime Minister Jan Malypetr, Senator František Soukup and Minister of National Defence Bohumír Bradáč walk behind the coffin. The procession, where a cushion with the honours and orders of the late minister is carried, stops in front of the building of the Švehla Student Residence in Slavíkova Street in Prague-Vinohrady.

The memorial event opens with a speech by Prime Minister Jan Malypetr (silent). The funeral procession exits the farm and heads to the Hostivař Cemetery. Mayor of the Czechoslovak Sokol Society Stanislav Bukovský and Senator František Soukup deliver speeches over Švehla´s grave (silent).
