Práce prezentuje možné alternativy v přístupu k vyhodnocování souborů keramických nádob se značkami na dnech. Prostřednictvím analýzy ukázkového souboru ze dvou předpokládaných hrnčířských dílen ze Starého Města (okr. Uherské Hradiště), polohy „U Víta“ jsou ilustrovány přednosti metody fotogrammetrické dokumentace a následného porovnávání záznamů ve virtuálním prostředí. Možnosti virtuálního porovnání archeologického materiálu jsou testovány nejen na tradičně vyhodnocovaných značkách s reliéfními symboly (tzv. značky plastické), ale i na dosud opomíjených otiscích os na dnech nádob (značky technické) a také některých dalších neintencionálních otiscích. Prostřednictvím obdržených výsledků se pak práce zamýšlí i nad možnou úrovní organizace produkce v obou pojednávaných dílnách. and The work presents possible alternatives in approaching the evaluation of assemblages of pottery vessels with marks on their bottoms. By means of an analysis of a sample group from two assumed pottery workshops from the ‘U Víta’ site in Staré Město (Uherské Hradiště district), the benefits of the method of photogrammetric documentation are illustrated and records from the virtual environment are subsequently compared. The possibilities for the virtual comparison of archaeological material are tested not only on traditionally evaluated marks with relief symbols, but also on heretofore neglected axis imprints (technical marks) as well as some other additional unintentional imprints. Based in the obtained results, the work then considers the possible level of production organisation at both of the studied workshops.
This paper discusses the pottery finds from the 2003–2005 excavation of the settlement at Pellendorf/Gaweinstal in the central eastern area of the Weinviertel district in Lower Austria. The early medieval settlement was occupied from the 7th to the 10th centuries. The pottery finds from the 9th/10th century are characterised by shapes typical of the Mikulčice and Blučina pottery groups and of the March pottery in southern Moravia, and thus revealing intensive contact to the Great Moravian centres on the River March in that period. The paper also mentions further sites with the same pottery in northern Lower Austria, which, taken as a whole, indicate that in the 9th century the area was culturally, economically, and thus presumably also politically, closely connected to the Moravian Empire. and Výzkum sídlištní lokality Pellendorf/Gaweinstal ležící ve středu východní části oblasti Weinviertel (Dolní Rakousko) poskytl v letech 2003–2005 keramický materiál, který je diskutován v předložené studii. Sídliště bylo využíváno od 7. do 10. století. Keramika z přelomu 9. a 10. stol. se vyznačuje tvary a výzdobou, jež jsou typické pro soudobá velkomoravská centra na řece Moravě. Pozornost je věnována také dalším lokalitám v severní části Dolního Rakouska, z nichž pocházejí keramické nálezy obdobného charakteru. V celkovém pohledu tento nálezový inventář svědčí o úzkém kulturním, ekonomickém, a patrně i politickém propojení příslušných oblastí Dolního Rakouska s Velkou Moravou v 9. století.
This paper reconstructs the rules governing the selection of ceramic raw material and considers certain technological aspects of the production of ceramic vessels in some Danubian cultures around the Carpathians in the Neolithic. The analysis encompassed more than 500 samples of ceramics produced by various cultural units across different chronological horizons. The results of the analysis are used to verify several hypotheses concerning the relationships and the mechanisms of cultural change in the Carpathian region. The most important questions include: (1) evolution of the LBK ceramics, (2) influence of the ALPC on the evolution of the LBK pottery in Małopolska, (3) technology of the LBK ceramics east of the Carpathians, (4) culture change at the turn of the LBK and the MC in Małopolska and (5) culture change at the turn of the MC and the L-VC in the same region. The suitability of the pottery technological analysis to solve some prehistoric problems was confirmed. and Článek rekonstruuje pravidla ovládající výběr keramických surovin a zvažuje určité technologické aspekty výroby keramických nádob v některých podunajských kulturách neolitu v oblasti Karpat. Analyzováno bylo více než 500 keramických vzorků vytvořených různými kulturními jednotkami různých chronologických horizontů. Výsledky analýzy slouží k ověření několika hypotéz týkajících se souvislostí a mechanismů kulturní změny v karpatské oblasti. Mezi nejdůležitější otázky patří: (1) vývoj LBK keramiky, (2) vliv ALPC na vývoj LBK keramiky v Malopolsku, (3) technologie LBK keramiky východně od Karpat, (4) kulturní změna na přechodu mezi LBK a MC v Malopolsku, (5) kulturní změna na přechodu mezi MC a L-VC v téže oblasti. Výsledky potvrzují vhodnost analýzy technologie keramiky pro objasnění některých otázek pravěku.
