- Tématem článku je experimentální výzkum spektrálních vlastností turbulence ve slunečním větru v oblasti přechodu mezi magnetohydrodynamickým (MHD) a kinetickým režimem magnetizovaného plazmatu. Výzkum je založen na měření parametrů plazmatu s vysokým časovým rozlišením, kterého bylo dosaženo přístrojem BMSW (Bright Monitor of Solar Wind) navrženým a vyvinutým na Katedře fyziky povrchů a plazmatu MFF UK v posledních letech. Získané výsledky jsou aplikovatelné nejen na variace meziplanetárního nebo mezihvězdného plazmatu, ale i na plazma ve fúzních systémech., This paper deals with experimental investigations of the spectral properties of solar wind turbulence during transition from magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) to kinetic regimes of a magnetized plasma. The study is based on the measurements of solar wind parameters with very high time resolution, which was achieved using the BMSW instrument designed and developed at the Department of Surface and Plasma Sciences of Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague. - The contribution has the purpose to recapitulate former author’s knowledge on the problems of the spectral investigation of optical properties of weakly absorpting optical materials, which the author gathered during the research of optical materials for infrared spectral region. The author reflects the recent article in this journal [5], and furthermore expands and generalizes questions solved within. Spectral investigations should guide to determine of material parameters, particularly the refractive index and the absorption coefficient. Not a little attention is devoted to the used terminology when the author prefers the Czech language terms. and Tento příspěvek má za cíl shrnout dřívější poznatky autora o problematice spektrálního vyšetřování optických vlastností slabě pohlcujících optických materiálů, které autor získal při výzkumu optických materiálů pro infračervenou oblast spektra. Autor tak reaguje na nedávný článek v tomto časopise [5] a otázky v něm řešené dále rozvíjí a zobecňuje. Spektrální vyšetřování mají vést ke stanovení materiálových parametrů, zejména indexu lomu a součinitele pohlcení. Nemalá pozornost je věnována také používané terminologii,v níž autor dává přednost českým termínům.

- The main goal of this work was to characterize the spectroscopic properties (absorption, fluorescence, and lifetime) of the samarium ion in the yttrium-aluminum-garnet matrix. The Sm:YAG crystals with various samarium concentrations (1, 3, 6.4, 10, 15 and 20 at.% Sm/Y) were produced by the edge-defined, film-fed growth technique. Absorption characteristics were investigated in the spectral range of 185 nm - 3100 nm with detailed measurements in the near-infrared range of 1058 to 1125 nm. The results indicate that the specific absorption properties of the Sm:YAG crystal could be advantageously used to an absorb of parasitic fluorescence around 1064 nm (dominant emitted wavelength of Nd:YAG laser). The dependence of lifetime on the samarium ions concentration in the YAG matrix was proven. and Hlavním cílem této práce bylo experimentálně zjistit spektroskopické vlastnosti iontu samaria v matrici ytrium-aluminium-granátu. Pomocí metody EFG byly vyrobeny krystaly s různou koncentrací samaria (1, 3, 6,4, 10, 15, 20 at.% Sm/Y). Absorpční charakteristiky byly zkoumány ve spektrálním rozsahu 185 nm - 3100 nm, s detailním měřením v oblasti vlnové délky 1064 nm. Dále byly proměřeny emisní závislosti a doba života.

- Spermatozoa of the monogenean Heterocotyle capricornensis Chisholm et Whittington, 1996 are long and filiform, comprising an elongate nucelus, probably a single elongate mitochondrion and two incorporated axonemes, one of which is shifted with respect to the other. The shift results in a region at each end of the sperm where only one axoncmc is present, accompanied by the nucleus and mitochondrion at one end and the nucleus and/or mitochondrion at the other. By taking note of the direction of dyncin arms on the axonemal doublet microtubules, each axoneme is identified and followed from beginning to end. No basal bodies remain in mature sperm but the main nuclear end is interpreted as proximal/anterior based on the final stages of spermiogenesis. A group of four or five cortical microtubules from the spermatid zone of differentiation persists in mature sperm, but is not closely associated with a region of extracellular matrix, as it is in other monocotylids. The sperm structure is compared with that of other monocotylids and the phylogenetic implications are discussed. Aberrant sperms in one individual were folded and fused along much of their length.
