Ve středních Čechách (Česká republika) a v oblasti okolo Prahy jsou variabilní a jedinečné přírodní podmínky. V letech 2007 a 2008 zde proběhl intenzivní výzkum vzácných a ohrožených hub. Článek hodnotí nálezy zajímavých druhů. Střední Čechy ukazují, že v oblasti může prosperovat mnoho zajímavých druhů hub, navzdory rostoucímu všeobecnému dopadu lidské činnosti na jejich prostředí. and The Central Bohemia region and the vicinity of the capital Prague have very variable and unique natural conditions. Intense research into rare and endangered fungi (included in the Red List) was carried out there in 2007 and 2008. The article evaluates the results, which show that Central Bohemia has remained a region hosting many interesting fungus species in spite of the increasing impact of human activities on the environment.
Řeka Vltava hraje významnou roli v charakteru české přírody jakožto migrační cesta, centrum biodiverzity, refugium ohrožených společenstev atd. Přestože tvář středního Povltaví silně poznamenaly výstavby přehradních nádrží, území je cennou ukázkou tzv. říčního fenoménu. Střední tok je na rozdíl od dolního Povltaví méně prozkoumanou oblastí, která přináší řadu zajímavých objevů. and The Vltava greatly influences the character of the Czech countryside, representing an important migration pathway, centre of biodiversity and a refuge for endangered communities. Although the middle part of the Vltava stream was greatly influenced by the construction of water reservoirs, this territory can serve as an example of the so-called river phenomenon. In contrast to the lower part of the Vltava stream, its middle part has been less studied and so can present interesting new discoveries.
