The study of magnetic behaviour of solids under pressure is a part of the research program of the Institute of Physics ASCR for 40 years. Results of the study of the Invar Fe-Ni alloys, the intermetallic R-Fe and the Heusler Ni-Mn-Ga compounds are presented here with an emphasis on a role of 3d-electrons in the pressure induced magnetic changes. The types of the used pressure cells are described., Studium magnetického chování látek za vysokých tlaků je součástí vědeckého programu Fyzikálního ústavu AV ČR již více než 40 let. Popsány jsou i základní typy použitých vysokotlakých komor., Jiří Kamarád., and Obsahuje bibliografii
