Comparative assessment of clinical efficiency of omeprazole and rabeprazole in treating gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). 65 patients with a verified diagnosis GERD were examined. Comparative clinical investigations of using of omeprazole and rabeprazole have revealed effectiveness of both drugs in the therapy of GERD. However, rabeprazole showed antisecretory action in the earlier periods, providing stable clinical remission of GERD and early scarring of erosive lesions of the esophageal mucosa, compared with omeprazole., Mirvasit Karimov, Abdujabar Akhmatkhodjaev, and Literatura
The authors demonstrate the possibility of improving surgical results by the reduction of perioperative bleeding in thoracic surgery associated with extended resection procedures. We focused on patients in whom the expected perioperative blood loss was greater than 500 ml. The first group consisted of patients with lung cancer stage III A after neoadjuvant chemotherapy had been indicated to extend the resection procedure. The second group consisted of patients with chest wall and mediastinum tumors of various etiologies. The third group consisted of patients with post-inflammatory thoracic complications in whom combined decortication and pleurectomy was necessary. By the using the local hemostyptic Traumastem TAF on the basis of oxidized cellulose, it is possible to minimize the perioperative blood loss, thus sparing the blood derivative requirement and enabling surgeons to provide the desired treatment even to high-risk patients., Petr Habal, Nedal Omran, Jiří Manďák, Jiří Šimek, Milan Štětina, and Literatura 16
In NLP Centre, dividing text into sentences is currently done with
a tool which uses rule-based system. In order to make enough training
data for machine learning, annotators manually split the corpus of contemporary text
CBB.blog (1 million tokens) into sentences.
Each file contains one hundredth of the whole corpus and all data were
processed in parallel by two annotators.
The corpus was created from ten contemporary blogs:

Současně se článek také zabývá mechanizmy účinků cytokinů, včetně nežádoucích, které také použití této léčby omezují., The article summarizes the use of cytokines in treating metastatic renal cell carcinoma from the time when, given the radioresistant and chemoresistant properties of renal cell carcinoma, they were virtually the only systemic therapy until present day when they give way and are being replaced with new biological agents, such as tyrosine kinase inhibitors or mTOR inhibitors. It is only interferon-? in combination with bevacizumab (a monoclonal antibody against VEGF) that has retained its position as one of the therapeutic options in the first-line treatment for mRCC. The article also deals with the mechanisms of effects of cytokines, including adverse effects that limit the use of this treatment., Michaela Zezulová, Bohuslav Melichar, and Lit.: 23
