Gastrointestinální stromální tumory (GIST) jako nejčastější mezenchymální tumory trávicího traktu vycházejí z Cajalových intersticiálních buněk. Ke konfirmaci morfologické diagnózy jsme použili panel imunohistochemických protilátek CD117, desmin, S100 a DOG1. Při hodnocení biologických vlastností jsme vycházeli z Miettinenovy klasifikace pro GIST, rozdělující tumory do tří skupin podle rizika agresivního chování. Klasifikace tumoru sleduje tři parametry: lokalizaci, velikost a mitotický index. Mitotický index je definován jako počet mitóz v nádorové tkáni na celkové ploše 5 mm2. Provedli jsme srovnání metod odběru tenkojehlové, navigované aspirační cytologie – EUS FNA a klešťové endoskopické biopsie či resekátu nádorové tkáně z pohledu patologa se zaměřením na stanovení všech potřebných morfologických a prognostických parametrů této neoplázie. Naše závěry a zkušenosti ukazují, že výsledky cytologického vyšetření jsou pro diagnostiku GIST srovnatelné s bioptickým vyšetřením. Hlavní limitací cytologické metody je nemožnost v 75 % případů stanovit mitotický index z důvodů malého množství nádorové tkáně. Tento nedostatek lze nahradit vyšetřením nukleárního proteinu asociovaného s buněčnou proliferací Ki-67, který se dle literárních zdrojů ukazuje jako významný prognostický parametr progrese onemocnění., Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) belong to the most common mesenchymal tumors of digestive tract deriving from Cajal interstitial cells. A panel of immunohistochemical antibodies CD117, desmin, S100 and DOG1 is used to confirm the morphological diagnosis. When evaluating the biological characteristics we used a Miettinen classification for GIST which divides tumors into three groups according to a risk of aggressive behaviour. This classification observes three parameters – tumor localisation, its size and mitotic index. Mitotic index is defined as a number of mitoses in the tumor tissue on the overall area of 5 mm2. We performed a comparison of sampling methods – biopsy forceps, resection versus endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration cytology (EUS FNA) from the point of view of a pathologist, focusing on the assessment of all necessary morphological and prognostic parameters of neoplasia. The study conclusions and experience show that when diagnosing GISTs, results of cytological examination of a sample using EUS FNA are comparable to those using forceps endoscopic biopsy. The main limitation of EUS FNA method is that in 75 % of cases it is impossible to state the mitotic index due to insufficient amount of tumor tissue. Poruchy spánku patria k najčastejším non‑motorickým prejavom u pa­cientov s Parkinsonovou chorobou (PCh), v populačných štúdiách je uvádzaný ich výskyt až u 60 % pa­cientov. Štúdie tiež uvádzajú rozdielnosť prejavov PCh medzi mužmi a ženami. Cieľ: Zistiť, či sú u pa­cientov s PCh na Slovensku prítomné medzi pohlaviami rozdiely v klinických prejavoch PCh a výskyte porúch spánku. Materiál a metódy: Zisťovanie bolo robené dotazníkovou metódou s účasťou pa­cientov a neurológov z jednotlivých regiónov Slovenskej republiky. Dotazníky boli vyplňované počas rutinných kontrolných návštev. Boli zisťované socioekonomické premenné ako pohlavie, vek, vek pri začiatku ochorenia, stupeň poškodenia hodnotený škálou Hoehna a Yahrovej, dominujúci fenotyp ochorenia a používaná medikácia. Pri hodnotení porúch spánku bola použitá slovenská verzia dotazníka PDSS. Výsledky: Získali sme dáta od 1 067 pa­cientov. Pri porovnávacích analýzach neboli zistené podstatné rozdiely vo väčšine hodnotených parametrov. U mužov bol o niečo vyšší podiel pa­cientov s hodnotou škály Hoehna a Yahrovej 4 a boli zistené signifikantne vyššie dávky levodopy v monoterapii (p < 0,01). Významné rozdiely boli zistené v skóre škály PDSS pre hodnotenie rušivých halucinácií počas noci – skóre u mužov bolo 8,22, u žien 8,48 (p < 0,05). Podobný výsledok sme zaznamenali v skóre hodnotiacom nutnosť močenia počas noci – u mužov bolo skóre 5,90, u žien 6,53 (p < 0,01). Redakční rada potvrzuje, že rukopis práce splnil ICMJE kritéria pro publikace zasílané do biomedicínských časopisů., Sleep disturbances are one of the most common non-motor symp­toms in patient with Parkinson’s disease (PD) with community‑based studies reporting prevalence data of 60%. Differences in symp­toms between men and women have been reported. Aim: In the present study, we assessed whether there are gender differences in clinical presentation of PD and prevalence of sleep disturbances in individuals dia­gnosed in the Slovak Republic. Material and method: Questionnaires were distributed to participating neurologists and patients in outpatient practices across the Slovak Republic. Sociodemographic variables – gender, age, age at onset, disease severity according to Hoehn and Yahr stage, phenotype of the dominating symp­tom of Parkinson’s disease and type of medication – were collected. The Slovak language version of the PDSS was used in a questionnaire to test sleep disturbances. Results: Data from 1,067 outpatients with PD were collected. Comparative analyses showed males and females not to be significantly different on the majority of the demographic and medical characteristics collected. Males had a slightly higher proportion of individuals with Hoehn and Yahr score 4 and, among those taking levodopa medication as monotherapy, males took significantly higher levodopa dose than females (p < 0.01). A significant difference in the distribution of PDSS subscores between males and females was observed on item 7 (distressing hallucinations at night) – score for males 8.22, for females 8.48, p < 0.05. 1279. Genetic identity and relationship between four Anagrus species (Hymenoptera: Mymaridae) using RAPD analysis

Four species of Anagrus (A. breviphragma Soyka, A. incarnatus Haliday, A. fennicus Soyka and A. obscurus Foerster sensu Soyka), that live on Carex riparia Curtis (Cyperaceae) in uncultivated areas along the Po river in the Piacenza province in Italy were analysed using RAPD markers in order to investigate their genetic relationships. High levels of RAPD polymorphism were found in the genus Anagrus, which permitted the fingerprinting of the four species. Analysis of average genetic similarities within species and comparison with average values between species confirms that A. breviphragma, A. incarnatus, A. fennicus and A. obscurus represent four genetically distinct species.
