The authors present the case of a young woman with newly diagnosed Takayasu’s arteritis. This woman, with arterial hypertension, was investigated for the unspecific symptoms at the beginning. Afterwards, the transthoracic echocardiography showed dysfunction of the left ventricle and the abdominal sonography showed a stenosis of the right renal artery. PET/CT scan showed chronic modification after inflammatory processes on the wall of the thoracic and abdominal aorta. Dotazníkové šetření MPSV "Názory laické veřejnosti na práci lékařské posudkové služby" potvrdilo předpoklad potřeby zvýšení informovanost veřejnosti o obsahu činnosti lékařské posudkové služby Téměř všichni dotázaní se domnívají, že posouzení zdravotního stavu posudkovým lékařem je nezbytné a tři čtvrtiny lidí souhlasí s názorem, že by se mělo zamezit plýtvání peněz daňových poplatníků. Se závěry posouzení souhlasí však většinou jen ti, kterým bylo "posudkově" vyhověno a následně přiznána požadovaná dávka.V podstatě všichni oslovení se shodují, že je zapotřebí zvýšit povědomí veřejnosti o činnosti lékařské posudkové služby. Zde nastává významná úloha posudkového lékaře, který by se měl stát case managerem svého klienta/pacienta, poskytnout mu požadované informace v potřebné kvalitě a kvantitě a tak jej provést labyrintem systému sociálního zabezpečení. Navíc zůstává nedoceněna role referentek ČSSZ a úřadů práce či tajemnic posudkových komisí MPSV, které je třeba zahrnout do široké definice činnosti case managementu v lékařské posudkové službě., Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MoLSA) survey on Public opinion about Assessment Service has proved the necessity to increase informing wide public about activity of the Assessment Service. Almost all who we were asked think that assessment of health state by an assessment doctor is necessary and three quarters of them agree with the fact that waste of tax payers' money should be decreased. But mostly only those who have been positively assessed and have received the assigned compensation or allowance agree with that conclusion. Almost all of the asked persons agree that it is necessary to increase the public knowledge about Assessment Service activity. It is an important task for an assessment doctor who should become a case manager of his/her client/patient and provide him/her with all necessary information in a good quality and quantity and thus lead him/her through the maze of social insurance system. Besides, a role of CSSZ- (Czech Social Security Administration) and work office- clerks and secretaries of assessment committees of MoLSA is underestimated. Ruptured pregnancy in the rudimentary horn of women who have had a vaginal delivery is rare and unpredictable. However, when undiagnosed, this condition could lead to maternal morbidity and mortality. We report a pregnancy at 19 weeks gestation presented with acute abdomen and hypovolemic shock. She was initially thought to have an intrauterine pregnancy with the provisional diagnosis of a ruptured uterus.
