DeriNet is a lexical network which models derivational and compositional relations in the lexicon of Czech. Nodes of the network correspond to Czech lexemes, while edges represent word-formational relations between a derived word and its base word / words.
The present version, DeriNet 2.2, contains:
- 1,040,127 lexemes (sampled from the MorfFlex CZ 2.0 dictionary), connected by
- 782,904 derivational,
- 50,511 orthographic variant,
- 6,336 compounding,
- 288 univerbation, and
- 135 conversion relations.
Compared to the previous version, version 2.1 contains an overhaul of the compounding annotation scheme, 4384 extra compounds, 83 more affixoid lexemes serving as bases for compounding, more parts of speech serving as bases for compounding (adverbs, pronouns, numerals), and several minor corrections of derivational relations.
Annotated list of dependency bigrams occurring in the PDT more than five times and having part-of-speech patterns that can possibly form a collocation. Each bigram is assigned to one of the six MWE categories by three annotators.
GeCzLex 1.0 is an online electronic resource for translation equivalents of Czech and German discourse connectives. It contains anaphoric connectives for both languages and their possible translations documented in bilingual parallel corpora (not necessarily anaphoric). The entries have been interlinked via semantic annotation of the connectives (taken from monolingual lexicons of connectives CzeDLex and DiMLex) according to the PDTB 3 sense taxonomy and translation possibilities aquired from the Czech and German parallel data of the Intercorp project. The lexicon is the first bilingual inventory of connectives with linkage on the level of individual pairs (connective + discourse sense).
Mapping table for the article Hajič et al., 2024: Mapping Czech Verbal Valency to PropBank Argument Labels, in LREC-COLING 2024, as preprocess by the algorithm described in the paper. This dataset i smeant for verification (replicatoin) purposes only. It will b manually processed further to arrive at a workable CzezchpropBank, to be used in Czech UMR annotation, to be further updated during the annotation. The resulting PropBank frame files fir Czech are expected to be available with some future releases of UMR, containing Czech UMR annotation, or separately.
Czech morphological dictionary developed originally by Jan Hajič as a spelling checker and lemmatization dictionary. Currently it contains full morphological information for each covered wordform, as well as some derivational, semantic and named entity information.

MorfFlex CZ 2.0 is the Czech morphological dictionary developed originally by Jan Hajič as a spelling checker and lemmatization dictionary. MorfFlex is a flat list of lemma-tag-wordform triples. For each wordform, full inflectional information is coded in a positional tag. Wordforms are organized into entries (paradigm instances or paradigms in short) according to their formal morphological behavior. The paradigm (set of wordforms) is identified by a unique lemma. Apart from traditional morphological categories, the description also contains some semantic, stylistic and derivational information. For more details see a comprehensive specification of the Czech morphological annotation http://ufal.mff.cuni.cz/techrep/tr64.pdf .
A dictionary of morphologically segmented word forms in Czech. Rules of manual segmentation are described in Pelegrinová, K., Mačutek, J., Čech, R. (2021). The Menzerath-Altmann law as the relation between lengths of words and morphemes in Czech. Jazykovedný časopis, 72, 405-414. The dictionary is based on short stories, fairy tales, letters and studies written by Karel Čapek.
