Jeho doposud známé lokality jsou pouze v Čechách a na Slovensku., Species of water fleas that belong to the genus Daphnia have been used intensively in studies as “model organisms”. The discovery of a new Daphnia species in a pool in Central Bohemia was, therefore, a surprise. All known localities of this species, which we named after the prominent Czech hydrobiologist Jaroslav Hrbáček, are restricted to Czechia and Slovakia., and Adam Petrusek, Petr Jan Juračka.
Czech botanists have studied the vegetation of Northern Biljefjorden (Central Spitsbergen) since 2007. Their activities include vegetation mapping of the whole area (repeated also after 70 years), assessment of vegetation development in deglaciated areas and analysis of clonal growth forms. and Jitka Klimešová, Karel Prach.
The aim of this review article is to assess the use of different research methods in empirical studies on the influence of new media on journalism. It analyses all articles related to the topic which were published between 2006 and 2013 in three selected prestigious academic journals - Journalism, Journalism Studies and New Media & Society. Employing the principles of systemic review, the articles are grouped in three temporal categories according to the methods applied in the research they present. It is concluded that mostly traditional research methods were used in the analysed period, only with minor adaptation to the new communication environment. Only from 2009 some tendencies towards a change of classical methods (software analysis, various combinations of methods) and techniques (using of special software which helps to study new internet phenomena such as social networks sites Facebook and Twitter) are evident., Roman Hájek., and Obsahuje seznam literatury
Článek shrnuje současné znalosti o distribuci ryb a její dynamice v našich přehradních nádržích. Především jsou popsány změny distribuce ryb v průběhu a mezi několika důležitými obdobími, jako je třecí období, období sběru potravy a zimní období. Dále je diskutován přínos současného rozvoje metodik vzorkování ryb k porozumění jejich distribučních vzorců., This paper summarizes current knowledge of fish distribution and its dynamics in Czech water reservoirs. The dynamics of fish distribution is described during the three periods, including spawning, feeding and wintering. And the importance of current fish sampling technique innovations for understanding fish distribution patterns is also discussed., and Martin Říha a kolektiv autorů.
This classic area of Silurian and Devonian stratigraphy provided a number of ecological and paleoenvironmental observations during the last decade. Comparative studies of spontaneous successions in abandoned quarries demonstrated that natural processes provide their optimum revitalization. New archaeological records, paleozoological evidence from caves and the discovery of a Late Bronze Age hillfort confirmed that the high biodiversity of this landscape has resulted from a harmonious interaction of natural processes with human activities since the 5th millennium BC. and Vojen Ložek.
Influenza is a highly contagious viral di - sease of the respiratory tract. Influenza viruses infect humans as well as animals, especially birds and pigs. Over the last ten years, molecular biology methods have enabled us to explain the extraordinary mortality of the „Spanish flu“ epidemic of 1918 and other major pandemics of the 20th century. Although the so-called „pig flu“ epidemic of 2009 caused by the H1N1 virus had less grave consequences than expected, the danger of another flu pande - mic remains very serious. and Jan Konvalinka, Ladislav Machala.
