Analýza zakonzervovaných rostlinných zbytků s využitím radiokarbonového datování přispěla k rekonstrukci způsobu uložení a lokálního vegetačního spektra. Sídelně-topografická analýza prokázala korelace se soudobým osídlením regionu, ve kterém se i díky novému nálezu nachází jedna z depozitních makrokumulací na Moravě. and The metal hoard discovered in 2013 during a metal detector survey on the western slope of the rocky Babí lom ridge near Svinošice village (Blansko district) contains six socketed axes, two spearheads and half of an ingot of nearly pure copper. Based on the axes and the unusual point of the spearhead with openings in the blade of foreign origin, the find is dated to the final stage of the Urnfield period. The hoard is remarkable both for the documentation of its original intentional arrangement and for the topographical situation in connection with a watercourse, the dominant landscape feature of the Babí lom ridge and assumed original road. An analysis of preserved plant remnants also contributed in conjunction with radiocarbon dating to the reconstruction of the way the hoard was deposited and the local vegetation spectrum. The settlement- topographic analysis showed a correlation with the period settlement of the region, where, thanks also to the new find, one of the deposition macro-accumulations in Moravia is located.
Populaci využívající návrší Cezavy lze zařadit mezi skupiny živící se především smíšenou stravou s převahou rostlinných zdrojů. and The aim of the multidisciplinary analysis of bioarchaeological sources from the Cezavy site near Blučina (Brno-venkov district) was to contribute to a reconstruction of the food sources of the local population at the beginning of the Late Bronze Age. The buccal dental microwear and isotopic analyses of anthropological material indicate that the diet of all individuals was mixed; a various plant ratio was inferred in nine individuals, whereas eight individuals had a higher meat intake, of which the main source were small ruminants (sheep/goat) and domestic pig. Other sources of meat were irregular; aside from hunted game, isotope analysis showed the consumption of marine fish in three males. Since strontium isotope analysis indicated that these individuals had never migrated, the marine fish must have been brought to this territory as a preserved import. Cereal grains, roasted at the site in their spikelets and glumes, played a key role in the plant component of food. Despite not being prepared for consumption, in this form they could have been a suitable object for a burnt sacrifice. The population living on the elevated Cezavy site can be classified among groups with a mixed diet, with a predominance of plant sources.
Ve dvou specifických žlabovitých objektech byly odkryty dva hromadné nálezy několika desítek kusů závaží, které byly v předložené studii podrobeny detailní archeologické i archeobotanické tech, stejně jako položení otázky o způsobech a důvodech jejich hromadného uložení v zmíněných žlabech. and Clay weights rank among frequently neglected artefacts commonly found at prehistoric settlements. However, their detailed analysis could in fact contribute to the resolution of numerous important questions, including the production technology of pottery and textiles, the handling of waste, depositional and post-depositional processes and others. An assemblage of weights that allows such questions to be raised comes from the Late Bronze Age settlement investigated in south Bohemian Březnice in 2005–2009. Two mass finds of several dozen weights found in two specific trench-like features were subjected to a detailed archaeological and archaeobotanical analysis. These analyses make it possible to study the role and purpose of these artefacts in societies at the time and to ask questions concerning how and why their mass deposition was made in the aforementioned trenches.
