Vedle něj klečí na jednom koleni nahá Psýché (náramek na paži), drží nad Amorem lampu a tiskne si levou ruku na prsa. Pod polštářem, na němž leží Amor, je ostří dýky (novacula praeacuta), kterou si tam připravila Psýché. Výjev se odehrává v ložnici charakterizované architektonickými prvky monumentální antické architektury (kanlovaný pilíř s hlavicí, kladí)., Fučíková 1997#, I/42, and Podle charakteru obrazu se jedná o produkt rudolfinského dvorského umění.
