Ve 4 případech byl průběh stařecké apendicitidy atypický., The authors describe their own experience with appendicitis in the elderly patients. They present a set of 38 patients from the period of past two years. Appendicitis in the elderly represented almost 10 % of all cases of surgically treated acute appendicitis. 63 % of the patients had advanced phlegmon or gangrenous appendicitis.
