- Mědiryt (56, 5 x 39, 5 cm): Perseus (antická zbroj, přilba neviditelnosti, zahnutý meč) stojí mezi Merkurem a Athénou, kteří jej vyzbrojují. Merkur (okřídlená čapka a boty) klečí u Perseových nohou a připevňuje mu okřídlené boty. Caduceus leží na zemi před ním. Napravo Minerva drží štít tak, aby si na jeho zrcadlové ploše mohl zkontrolovat upevnění meče, za nímž se ohlíží. Minerva na obraz meče na štítě upozorňuje gestem levé ruky. V popředí Amor s kopím. Vpravo nahoře nymfy s nádobami (oinochoe a číše) a personifikace řeky s nádobou, z níž vytéká voda. V průhledu dvě Nymfy, jedna s nádobou na hlavě., Fučíková 1997#, I/335, and V antických verzích mýtu o Perseovi vystupuje Merkur jako dárce kouzelné výzbroje: meče, okřídlených bot a přilby neviditelnosti (Hyginus, Astronomica fabulae), zatímco Athéna hrdinovi poradila, aby se díval do štítu, v němž mohl vidět Gorgonu, aniž se na ni podíval (Apollodorus, Knihovna 2, 4, 2). Tento štít byl podle jedné verze průhledný (Servius commentarius in Vergilii Aeneida, 6, 289). V 5. stol. Fulgentius přichází s alegorickým výkladem, v němž Perseus představuje sílu a Minerva moudrost, a obrazně je také vyložen Perseův štít/zrcadlo (Fulgentius mythologiae 1, 21). Ve 12. století se objevují první zmínky o křišťálovém či skleněném štítu (Mythographus Vaticanus I, 2, 28; Mythographus Vaticanus II, 135). Křišťálový štít se díky svému symbolickému potenciálu stal v poantické Evropě Perseovým atributem (Bonsignori 1522, cap. 37; Agostini 1522, Lib. IV, 44-45r: scudo fatto de christallo; Dolce 1565: lo scudo cristallino avuto da Minerva; Bruno 1584, dialogo secondo: scudo di cristallo). Pomoc Merkura a Minervy byla rovněž vykládána symbolicky, získání Medúsiny hlavy bylo vítězstvím nad žádostivostí a smyslností.

- Olej na plátně (213 x 142 cm): Hojnost (Abundantia) s rohem hojnosti, Spravedlnost (Justitia) s mečem a Mír (Pax) s holubicí s olivovou ratolestí na rameni. Všechny tři ženy mají bohaté šaty, odhalená ňadra a sedí vedle sebe a Mír objímá Spravedlnost, která má ruku na rameni Hojnosti, ta má ruku položenou na jejím koleně. Hojnost jakožto plodivá síla země sedí nejníž. Nalevo ženský genius (křídla) korunuje Hojnost věncem z obilí a Spravedlnost květinovým věncem. Napravo Vědění (Scientia) s knihou v ruce položenou na rameni Spravedlnosti, obrací se dozadu pravicí odstrkuje Válku (brnění, kopí), za Válkou je vidět Turka (turban). Putto korunuje vavřínovým věncem Vědění a Mír olivovým věncem. Nalevo nahoře putto odhrnuje závěs, uprostřed nahoře orel drží v pařátech zlaté okovy, od nichž jdou řetězy k Spravedlnosti a Vědění. Orel letí k nebesům, kde je na ozářeném oblaku emblém Rudolfa II., vavřínový věnec se žezlem a palmovou ratolestí. Dole, u nohou Spravedlnosti a Míru je znak habsburského arcivévodství (bílo, červeno, bílé pruhy) s vévodskou korunou., Fučíková 1997#, I/54, and Zjednodušenou verzi alegorie najdeme na malířově obraze z doby okolo roku 1600 (Osnabrück, Ravesteyn, Alegorie Spravedlnosti a míru). Koruna protknutá dvěma palmovými listy byla emblémem císaře Ferdinanda I. (Typotius 1601-1603, 2, tab. 106) , emblém doprovázelo moto LEGITIME CERTANTIBUS: koruna patří tomu, kdo bojuje se ctí. Žezla a palmové listy v koruně byly emblémem císaře Rudolfa II. (viz: Praha, Strahov, Ravesteyn, Alegorie vlády Rudolfa II.). První zmínka o Rudolfově žezlu a palmovém listu symbolizujími moc v míru a válce, najdeme v emblematickém traktátu, který císaři Rudolfovi II. věnoval profesor pražské university Matouš Philomates (Philomates 1580, kap. 15). Žezlo s palmovým listem v koruně se objevuje jako emblém Cesare I. Gonzagy (1530-1575) v Typotiově katalogu emblémů evropských vladařů vydaném v Praze (Typotius 1601-1603, tab. 99, první v horní řadě), s heslem HAEC EST SOLA NOSTRA GLORIA.

- Mědiryt (67, 3 x 42, 1 cm): portrétní busta císaře Matyáše v alegorickém zarámování. Dole je císařský orel s mečem a křížem na globu, pod nímž Závist (hady místo vlasů) a Hloupost (oslí uši). Po stranách portrétu nalevo Uměřenost, muž s kopím krotí Pegase, stojí na válečných trofejích. Napravo Victoria (křídla, přilba, kopí, věnec) zabíjí draka, za ní Sláva (křídla) troubí na trubku. Nad portrétem jsou tři Grácie, tančí a sypou mince a plody z rohů hojnosti. Nahoře se snáší putti s císařskou korunou., Fučíková 1997#, I/371., and Kromě tradičních atributů císařství lze na rytině najít i dva ohlasy antických sochařských typů. Uměřenost krotící Pegasa (to jest výmluvnost) je ohlasem slavného a často napodobovaného sousoší (Dioskurů ?) krotících koně. Jejich neobyčejná proslulost byla důsledkem pozdně antického nápisu, který jednu sochy přiřkl Feidiovi a druhou neméně slavnému sochaři Praxitelovi, dále jejich kolosálního měřítka i skutečnosti, že sousoší Římě stálo od doby antického císařství. Dalším antickým citátem na Matyášově portrétu jsou tři tančící Grácie, které se v pražském rudolfinském umění často objevují jako alegorie rozkvětu, hojnosti a míru charakterizující císařskou vládu. Bohyně Aglaiá (Zářící), Eufrosyné (Blaženost) a Thaleia (Thálie- Rozkvět), dcery Jupitera, byly personifikací půvabu, krásy a slavnostního veselí. V antickém Římu velmi často zobrazované sousoší tří vzájemně propletených Grácií, z nichž střední je zobrazená zezadu, bylo v 16. století známé především z exempláře se sbírky Piccolomini, které bylo od roku 1502 v Pise. Citáty slavných antických soch měly patrně měly patrně naznačit, že Matyášovo vítězství je i triumfem kultury a civilizace.
