- Language:

- Description:
- The creation of Czechoslovakia in 1918 was the culmination of the long struggle of the Czechs against their Austrian rulers and of the Slovaks against their Hungarian rulers. At the outbreak of World War I, the Czechs and Slovaks showed little enthusiasm for fighting for their respective enemies, the Germans and the Hungarians, against fellow Slavs, the Russians and the Serbs. In 1916, together with Edvard Beneš and MIlan Rastislav Štefánik, Masaryk created the Czechoslovak National Council. In early October 1918, Germany and Austria proposed peace negotiations. On October 28, the National Committee issued a declaration of Czechoslovak independence. and Ivan Šedivý.

- Subject:
- heroin self-administration, 2Hz-electroacupuncture, heroinseeking behaviors, and CB1-Rs and CB2-Rs
- Language:
- English
- Description:
- Opiate addiction has a high rate of relapse. The accumulating evidence shows that electroacupuncture (EA) may be effective for the treatment of opiate relapse. However, the change of expression of CB1-Rs and CB2-Rs involve in 2Hz EA anti-relapse pathway is still unclear. To explore the changes of expression of CB1-Rs and CB2-Rs, heroin self-administration (SA) model rats were adopted and treated using 2Hz EA. The expressions of CB1-Rs and CB2-Rs were observed using immunohistochemistry method. The results showed that, compared with the control group, active pokes in the heroin-addicted group increased, while the active pokes decreased significantly in 2Hz EA group compared with heroin-addicted group. Correspondingly, the expression of CB1-Rs in prefrontal cortex (PFC), hippocampus (Hip), nucleus accumbens (NAc) and ventral tegmental area (VTA) all increased significantly while the expression of CB2-Rs in those relapse-relevant brain regions decreased obviously in heroin-addicted group when compared with the control group. In addition, the expression of CB1-Rs obviously decreased in the 2Hz EA group while the expression of CB2-Rs in those relapserelevant brain regions increased significantly when compared with the heroin-addicted group. It indicated that 2Hz EA could attenuate the heroin-evoked seeking behaviors effectively. The anti-relapse effects of 2Hz EA might be related to the decrease of CB1-Rs and increase of CB2-Rs expression in relapse-relevant brain regions of heroin SA rats.

- Subject:
- Psychologie, psychologie, výkonová orientace, sebeznevýhodňování, mnohonásobná regresní analýza, achievement goal orientations, self-handicapping, multiple regression analysis, 17, and 159.9
- Language:
- Czech
- Description:
Cíle přikročit k učení/vyhýbat se učení a přikročit k výkonovým situacím/vyhýbat se výkonovým situacím vysvětlily 69 % rozptylu sebeznevýhodňování., The aim of this research was to examine the relationships between achievement goal orientations and self-handicapping. The sample of study consists of 355 university students from Sakarya University, Turkey. 201 participants were female and 154 were male, the mean age was 20.2. The 2X2 Achievement Goal Orientations Scale and the Self-handicapping Scale were used as measures. The relationships between achievement goal orientations and self-handicapping were examined using correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. Results showed that self-handicapping correlated positively with learning-avoidance and performance-avoidance goals and negatively with learning-approach and performance-approach goals. According to regression results, self-handicapping was predicted positively by learning-avoidance and performance-avoidance goals. Further learning- approach and performance-approach goals predicted self-handicapping in a negative way. Learning-approach/avoidance and performanceapproach/ avoidance goals have explained 69% of the variance in self-handicapping. The results should not be generalized either to all university students or to other student population. Secondly, as correlational statistics were utilized, no definitive statements can be made about causality. And last, the data are self-reported., Ümran Akin., and Obsahuje seznam literatury

- Subject:
- elliptic curves and Selmer groups
- Language:
- English
- Description:
- We explicitly perform some steps of a 3-descent algorithm for the curves $y^2=x^3+a$, $a$ a nonzero integer. In general this will enable us to bound the order of the 3-Selmer group of such curves.

190. 3D object recognition using octree model and fast search algorithm

- Format:

- Type:
- model:article and TEXT
- Subject:
- 3D object recognition, octree model, and pattern analysis
- Language:
- English
- Description:
- This paper presents a new approach to 3D object recognition by using an Octree model library (OML) I, II and fast search algorithm. The fast search algorithm is used for finding the 4 pairs of feature points to estimate the viewing direction uses on effective two level database. The method is based on matching the object contour to the reference occluded shapes of 49, 118 viewing directions. The initially bestmatched viewing direction is calibrated by searching for the 4 pairs of feature points between the input image and the image projected along the estimated viewing direction. At this point, the input shape is recognized by matching it to the projected shape. The computational complexity of the proposed method is shown to be O(n^2) in the worst case, and that of the simple combinatorial method of O(m^4,n^2), where n and m denote the number of feature points of the 3D model object and the 2D object, respectively.
