- Hydrogenizovaný mikrokrystalický křemík představuje širokou škálu materiálů s rozmanitou strukturou a vlastnostmi závislými na depozičních parametrech. V současnosti se věnuje pozornost vrstvám připraveným za velmi nízkých teplot (~ 80 °C), což je podmínkou výroby levných slunečních článků na plastových substrátech. I při takto nízké teplotě lze připravit kvalitní protokrystalické vrstvy (na hranici mezi amorfním a mikrokrystalickým růstem) pro sluneční články s vysokou účinností. V této práci se zabýváme vlivem tloušťky vrstvy, koncentrace silanu a teploty substrátu na strukturu a elektrické vlastnosti tenkých vrstev protokrystalického křemíku. Pro popis růstu mikrokrystalických zrn předkládáme jednoduchý geometrický model, jehož výsledky srovnáváme s naměřenými topografiemi reálných vzorků. - Geopolymers are one of the modern materials that can replace Portland cement. These materials are characterized by both high strength and high heat resistance. Foam geopolymers provide thermal protection. Foamed geopolymers with coke dust fill at 3 % relative to the base geopolymer (binder) and hollow corundum microspheres at 1 % and 3 % relative to the binder were examined. Compressive strength was found to be most affected by the addition of 3 % corundum hollow spheres. For flexural strength, this cannot be unequivocally demonstrated, as foamed geopolymers are themselves brittle and strengths with 5 % coke dust and 3 % corundum take place within statistical uncertainty. and Geopolymery jsou jedny z aktuálních materiálů, kterými je možno nahradit portlandský cement. Tyto materiály se vyznačují jak vysokou pevností, tak vysokou žárovou odolností. Tepelnou ochranu poskytují vypěněné geopolymery, které byly zkoumány s výplní z koksového prachu v množství 5 % vzhledem k základnímu geopolymeru (binderu) a dutých korundových mikrokuliček v množství 1 % a 3 % vzhledem k binderu. Bylo zjištěno, že pevnost v tlaku nejvíce ovlivňuje přidání 3 % korundových dutých kuliček. U pevnosti v ohybu toto nelze jednoznačně prokázat, protože vypěněné geopolymery jsou samy o sobě křehké a pevnosti s 5 % koksového prachu a 3 % korundu se odehrávají v rámci statistické nejistoty.

- Propagation of surface plasmon polaritons on structures fabricated by application of focussed ion beam is investigated. Few types of structures were prepared on gold and aluminium thin films. Surface plasmon polaritons were locally excited and their transmition was studied. By focussed ion beam instrument were plasmonic resonant antennas created as well and resonance dependence on their geometry was investigated. Corresponding simulations by Finite-Dimension Time-Domain method were achieved.

- Waste biomass stays on the field after the cotton harvest. it can be used for thermal or electric energy production. Organs of cotton plants were burned in a bomb calorimeter and the heating value was measured. Our results are presented. and Tento článek představuje systematické studium rozdělení výhřevnosti v jednotlivých orgánech bavlníku. Tento výzkum je součástí pokračujícího programu získávání přesné analýzy termických dat z různých energetických plodin a odpadních zemědělských produktů. Data byla získána z rostlin bavlníku (odrůda Stoneville 474), které byly shromážděny před sklizní produktu. Spalovací kalorimetr (typ C5000, IKA®- Werke) byl použit pro stanovení výhřevnosti. Byly zjišťovány rozdíly ve výhřevnosti mezi jednotlivými orgány bavlníku. Rozdělení výhřevnosti v jednotlivých orgánech bylo provedeno takto: kořen, stonek, větve, plody, listy a vrchol rostliny. Ukazuje se, že významně vyšší výhřevnost vykazují plody (zejména semena), což je níže diskutováno. Střední hodnota výhřevnosti celých rostlin bavlníku byla 17550 J.g-1 (tj. 17,55 MJ.kg-1).

30379. Study of atmospheric and oceanic excitations in the motin of earth's spin axis in space

- In this review paper we study the atmospheric and oceanic effects in nutation. It is a continuation and summary of our previous studies that we made during the last five years or so. We use slightly modified methods and apply them to the most recent data (both atmospheric/oceanic excitation functions and combined solution of celestial pole offsets by International VLBI Service for Geodesy and Astrometry - IVS). We find th at the atmospheric and oceanic excitations provide significant changes in nutation, mostly with annual and semi-annual periods. The numerical integration of Brzeziński’s broadband Liouville equations yield Free Core Nutation (FCN) that is consistent with VLBI-based observed values. The analysis of VLBI observations shows small quasi-periodic fluctuations of the period and qua lity factor of retrograde FCN, ranging between 429.8 to 430.5 days and 17000 to 22000, respectively. To this end, we use resonant effects in several dominant forced nutation terms to calculate the period and quality factor of FCN in running 6-year intervals. Numerically integrated geophysical excitations are removed fro the observed celestial pole offsets, and the remaining part is used again to derive the period and quality factor of FCN in running intervals. Our conclusion is that the observed quasi-periodic variations of both parameters are not caused by these geophysical excitations, but another source should be searched for.

- Evaluation of seismic loading in urban areas is not a simple process. The horizontal to vertical spectral ratio method technique has been often used for determination of site effect recently. Results from the re-interpretation of mining induced seismic events from Karviná region in frequency domain using archival databases will be presented in this study material.
