A new version of an imaging spectroscopic reflectometer has been developed at the Institute of Physical Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology. The device has been developed for measurements of thin film samples with high gradients of non-uniformity in their optical parameters. This device uses a membrane beamsplitter (typically called Pellicle beamsplitter) as a basic optical element. The new beamsplitter limits the usage of the device only for measurements in VIS and near IR range of light spectra. The new device is complementary to an older one which works also in UV spectral region, but with a lower sample resolution. Both devices together allow application of imaging spectroscopic reflectometry for a wide range of samples of non-uniform thin films. and Na ústavu Fyzikálního inženýrství FSI VUT v Brně byla vyvinuta nová varianta zobrazovacího spektroskopického reflektometru pro optickou charakterizaci tenkých vrstev neuniformních v optických parametrech. Přístroj vznikl za účelem rozšíření metody zobrazovací spektroskopické reflektometrie pro vzorky tenkých vrstev s velkými gradienty zmíněných neuniformit. Tohoto cíle bylo dosaženo vyšším obrazovým rozlišením nového přístroje. Při jeho návrhu bylo s výhodou využito membránového děliče, který však omezil spektrální rozsah použitého světla pouze na viditelnou a blízkou infračervenou oblast. Nový přístroj doplňuje již dlouhodobě funkční zobrazovací spektroskopický reflektometr pracující také v ultrafialové spektrální oblasti. Oba přístroje umožňují aplikaci zobrazovací spektroskopické reflektometrie na širokou množinu vzorků neuniformních tenkých vrstev.
V posledních letech výrazně sílí zájem o odbornou reflexi fáze sběru dat v rámci standardizovaných dotazníkových výzkumů a na s tím spojené prvky, jako je osoba tazatele a respondenta, aranžmá situace dotazování, podoby výzkumného nástroje nebo způsobu dotazování. V oblasti metodologie sociálněvědního výzkumu na tom má zásluhu proud kognitivních přístupů, jehož kořeny lze spatřovat v rozmachu kognitivních teorií v psychologii a jejich pronikání do dalších disciplín. Jednoduše řečeno kognitivní přístupy obracejí pozornost k psychickým procesům, které se v hlavách respondentů odehrávají v situaci zodpovídání výzkumné otázky, a které mají vliv na způsob, jakým zpracovávají související informace a jaká tedy bude jejich odpověď. Základním informacím o kognitivních přístupech, jakož i situaci dotazování byl na stránkách Naší společnosti již určitý prostor věnován [Vinopal 2004], nyní se můžeme z tohoto hlediska podrobněji podívat na některé fáze a aspekty získávání informací od respondentů dotazníkových šetření., The article stands as a first part of a series about the question answering process during standardized surveys. The series conceptually draws on the Cognitive Aspects of Survey Methodology (CASM) and hence it maps primarily cognitive aspects of responding process. At the very beginning the interview situation itself is described and its interactional/communication, cognitive and formal components are defined. The answering process is in accord with prevailing theories described in the course of the question interpretation, memories retrieval, making the judgement and editing the answer. The first part of the whole series concentrates on the interpretation phase. The topic of question representation is elaborated thru the psychological conception of mental representation in detail and several examples show implications for survey quality. Schemas and scenarios are then described as an “at hand” tools for interpretation of the question, and these are again illustrated by some examples. The paper deals with the determination of the basic characteristics of flow at the crest of a rectangular broad-crested weir and in detail with the characteristics of flow separation at the upstream edge of the weir crest. The determination of the characteristics is made on the basis of measurement of the water surface level, the pressure head and the velocity field using the Particle Image Velocimetry method. The characteristics are expressed dimensionless in relation to the energy overflow head and the critical depth. and Článek pojednává o stanovení základních charakteristik proudu na široké koruně pravoúhlého přelivu a detailně o charakteristikách odtržení proudu za návodní hranou koruny přelivu. Charakteristiky jsou stanoveny na základě měření úrovně hladiny, tlakové výšky a rychlostního pole metodou Particle Image Velocimetry. Charakteristiky jsou vyjádřeny bezrozměrně ve vztahu k energetické přepadové výšce a kritické hloubce.
