The article deals with design of the experimental rig with hydromechanical system and enegy regeneration. Suggested rig is also scaled model of the heavy vehicle hydrostatic drive. The energy regeneration circuit is connected in the series with the hydraulic circuit of the drive. The test rig enables verification of mathematical model of the heavy vehicle drive and optimization of the operational parameters of the drive to achieve high efficiency of regeneration. The paper deals with a part of the hydrostatic system for kinetic energy recovery of vehicles equipped with mechanic-hydraulic drive, namely with the pump part. A description of its use at experiemental stand and at experimental vehicle - a pneumatic road roller for finishing the road surface - is introduced.
