Restoration of electron flow and oxygen-evolution quantity of Mn-depleted photosystem 2 (PS2) was performed with using synthetic manganese complexes Mn(im)6Cl2, Mn(im)2Cl2, Mn(5-Clsalgy)2, and Mn(salgy)2 instead of original manganese cluster for reconstruction of electron transport and oxygen evolution. and M. Chlorophyll fluorescence parameters (Fv/Fm, RFd) of nine bryophyte and one lichen species were investigated after prolonged exposure to elevated UV-B radiation. The majority of the investigated bryophytes showed a prompt or inducible tolerance to increase UV-B irradiation. Among the investigated species high degree of UV-tolerance coincides with strong desiccation tolerance. and Z. Csintalan ... [et al.].
Carbonic anhydrase (CA) activity and net photosynthetic rate (/’N) in the leaves, and plant dry mass (DM) in twelve cultivars of mustard (Brassica juncea L.) were measured 50, 70 and 90 d after sowing. At different sampling stages CA was strongly associated with PN and DM.
Insufficient levels of vitamin D have been demonstrated by many
authors as a risk factor for autistic patients, however, the
causality has not been reliably elucidated. In the present study,
levels of calcidiol were determined in group of autistic children
and compared with age matched healthy children as controls.
Suboptimal levels of calcidiol in more than 60 % of both autistic
patients as well as of control group were found. No significant
differences in vitamin D between autistic children and healthy
controls were observed.
