The theory of cooling of cometary dust by a gas outflowing from the nucleus is developed and used for explaining the anomalous distribution of sodium atom emission in the head of Comet Mrkos 1957 d. The results obtained indicate the universal character of the phenomenon of anomalous distribution of metal atom emissions,
including the Na I lines, in the heads of bright comets and the possibility of condensation of a cometary gas (Hg^2O, CO^2 etc.) in the nearnuclear region.
The seasonal changes of the nematode Camallanus anabantis Pearse, 1933, in the climbing perch (Anabas testudineus) from the freshwater swamps near Kalyani town, West Bengal, India were studied during the period from February 1988 to August 1989. The nematode exhibited a one-year cycle. Larvated females occurred in the fishes from October to February at a water temperature of 12“-29 °C. New infection of fishes occurred from February to May and occasionally in September. The fourth-stage larvae, the males, and the young females (without eggs), although irregularly, were found present throughout the year. Egg-laden females occurred in the fishes in August, October to February, and March.
The institute for Balkan studies at the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts was founded in 1969. It draws on the tradition of the Balkan institute which existed in 1934-1941. The institute is involved in acomplex study of the Balkan peninsula, from pre-historic to modern times, covering archaeology, anthropology, ethnography, history, study of culture, art, literature, common law, etc. This multidisciplinary approach forms a continuous scientific tradition of this institute. Between 2006 and 2010, the institute implemented six projects with the participation of fifty two researchers in cooperation with other foreign scientific institutions,
including the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. the projects include: the history of political ideas in the Balkan peninsula; common cultural heritage of the Balkan and the Danube regions; medieval cultural and sacral heritage of the Balkan; ethnic and social stratification of the Balkan; traditional culture of the Serbs in the Slavic and Balkan contexts; the archaeological heritage of the Balkan in the broader context of proto-historical and historical processes. Besides the traditional multidisciplinary approach to realization of the above mentioned projects, different methods of field research, archival and library research are used.
Article deals with stastical evaluation of aluminium surface quality created by means of abrasive waterjet. It was evaluated the influence of the factors on the surface quality in 1, 6 and 11 mm depth. According statistical evaluation of the surface quality by means of factor analysis, results that for the evaluation of the quality average roughness is insufficient. and V príspevku sa pojednáva o štatistickom hodnotení povrchu hliníka vytvoreného abrazívnym vodným prúdom.
Brachylaimus fuscatus metacercaria develops unencysled in the terrestrial snail Ponsadenia duplocincta. For the first time in a larval stage of the genus Brachylaimus a distinctive surface structure has been observed. This structure of net-like interconnected ridges of the tegument was present on the whole body surface with the exception of the anterior part. Beside this structure scanning electron microscopy revealed five types of papillae. Three types, dome-like papillae, papillae with a finger-like process, and hollow papillae with a short cilium, were localized mainly in the suckers. Hollow papillae without a cilium were arranged in groups or singly around the ventral sucker and genital pore. Ribbed papillae were observed on the ventral body surface.
