- Description:
- This paper deals with cooperative games with n players and r alternatives which are called multi-alternative games. In the conventional multi-alternative games initiated by Bolger, each player can choose any alternative with equal possibilities. In actual social life, there exist situations in which players have some restrictions on their choice of alternatives. Considering such situations, we study restricted multi-alternative games. A value for a given game is proposed.

- Description:
- To represent a set whose members are known partially, the graded ill-known set is proposed. In this paper, we investigate calculations of function values of graded ill-known sets. Because a graded ill-known set is characterized by a possibility distribution in the power set, the calculations of function values of graded ill-known sets are based on the extension principle but generally complex. To reduce the complexity, lower and upper approximations of a given graded ill-known set are used at the expense of precision. We give a necessary and sufficient condition that lower and upper approximations of function values of graded ill-known sets are obtained as function values of lower and upper approximations of graded ill-known sets.

- Description:
- In this paper, we extend the traditional linear regression methods to the (numerical input)-(interval output) data case assuming both the observation/measurement error and the indeterminacy of the input-output relationship. We propose three different models based on three different assumptions of interval output data. In each model, the errors are defined as intervals by solving the interval equation representing the relationship among the interval output, the interval function and the interval error. We formalize the estimation problem of parameters of the interval function so as to minimize the sum of square/absolute interval errors. Introducing suitable interpretation of minimization of an interval function, each estimation problem is well-formulated as a quadratic or linear programming problem. It is shown that the proposed methods have close relation to both traditional and interval linear regression methods which are formulated in different manners.
