Cieľ: Výskum bol zameraný na identifikáciu drţania diéty u adolescentných respondentov a niektorých príčin jej drţania vo vzťahu k pohlaviu a veku. Metodika: Na získanie empirických dát boli pouţité vybrané poloţky sebaposudzovacieho meracieho nástroja s názvom Mapovanie stravovacích návykov medzi adolescentmi (The Project EAT Survey, Neumark- Sztainer et al.). Výskumnú vzorku tvorilo 387 adolescentných respondentov, toho času študentov prvých a štvrtých ročníkov stredných škôl. Výsledky: Podľa výsledkov výskumu ţeny častejšie drţia diéty (redukčné alebo pre jej udrţanie) či uţ v minulom roku (p = 0,002) aj v terajšej dobe (p = 0,000). Sú nespokojné so svojou hmotnosťou (p = 0,000) a postavou (p = 0,009). Respondenti vo veku 18 - 20 rokov uviedli, ţe si ich členovia rodiny doberali alebo si robili posmech z ich hmotnosti (p = 0,000). Vyššie percento ţien zaţilo negatívne hodnotenie ich hmotnosti zo strany členov rodiny (27,5 %) a vrstovníkov (33,5 %). Záver: Sestra v klinickej praxi môţe byť nápomocná pri identifikovaní drţania diét u adolescentov a jej príčin z hľadiska prevencie dopadu drţania diét na telesné a duševné zdravie adolescenta a pri realizácii uţ cielených intervencií, napr. edukácie v rámci takto obsahovo zameranej prevencie., Aim: The research was aimed at identifying dieting among adolescent respondents and some of the reasons for its keeping in relation to sex and age. Methods: For obtaining empirical data selected items of self-assessing measuring tool called Mapping dietary habits among adolescents were used (The Project EAT Survey, Neumark-Sztainer et al.). The research sample consisted of 387 adolescent respondents, previously high school students (of the first and fourth study year). Results: According to results of research women more frequently keep a diet (in order to lose weight or keep it the same) in last year (p = 0,002) as well as at present-day period (p = 0,000). They are not satisfied with their weight (p = 0,000) and figure (p = 0,009). Respondents aged 18-20 years reported that their family members have teased or made fun of their weight (p = 0,000). A higher percentage of women had experience a negative evaluation of their weight on the part of the family members (27,5 %) and peers (33,5 %). Conclusion: A nurse in clinical practice can be helpful in identifying dieting among adolescents and its causes in order to prevent the impact of diets on physical and mental health of adolescent and in the implementation of already targeted interventions, e.g. education in the context of the following content targeting prevention., Michaela Miertová, and Literatura 40
Cieľ: Cieľom práce bolo validizovať defi nujúce charakteristiky ošetrovateľskej diagnózy Defi cit vedomostí vybraným súborom slovenských sestier – expertov, teda zistiť, ktoré defi nujúce charakteristiky sú sestrami považované za hlavné a ktoré za vedľajšie. Metódy: Na hodnotenie defi nujúcich charakteristík ošetrovateľskej diagnózy Defi cit vedomostí bol zvolený Fehringov model validity diagnostického obsahu. Výsledky: Za hlavné defi nujúce charakteristiky boli označené: „slovné vyjadrenie problému“ a „chybné, nepresné dodržiavanie inštrukcií“. Za vedľajšie defi nujúce charakteristiky boli označené: „chybné, nepresné výsledky testu“ a „neprimerané správanie“. Charakteristika „prehnané správanie“ dosiahla vážené skóre menej ako 0,5. Záver: Nie všetky defi nujúce charakteristiky ošetrovateľskej diagnózy Defi cit vedomostí uvedené v klasifi kačnom systéme NANDA-International sú pre vybraný súbor sestier rovnako významné pre jej stanovenie., Aim: The aim of the study was to validate the nursing diagnosis Deficient Knowledge by a chosen sample of Slovak nurses – experts, i. e. to find out which defining characteristics are considered major and minor. Methods: The Fehring’s Diagnostic Content Validity Model was used to evaluate the defi ning characteristics of nursing diagnosis Deficient Knowledge. Results: Th e following defi ning characteristics were marked as major: “verbalization of the problem”, “inaccurate compliance with instructions”. The following characteristics were marked as minor: “poor and inaccurate performance in a test” and “inappropriate behaviour”. The defining characteristic “exaggerated behaviour” had the weighted ratio less than 0.5. Cieľ: Cieľom práce bolo validovať definujúce charakteristiky ošetrovateľskej diagnózy Deficit objemu telových tekutín vybraným súborom slovenských sestier – expertov, teda zistiť, ktoré definujúce charakteristiky sú sestrami povaţované za hlavné a ktoré za vedľajšie. Metodika: Na hodnotenie definujúcich charakteristík ošetrovateľskej diagnózy Deficit objemu telových tekutín bol zvolený Fehringov model validity diagnostického obsahu (DCV model). Definujúce charakteristiky hodnotili sestry, ktoré získali minimálne 4 body podľa modifikovaných Fehringových kritérií. Súbor tvorilo 116 slovenských sestier – expertov. Definujúce charakteristiky boli sestrami hodnotené na Likertovej škále od 1 do 5 (1 – ţiadna významnosť, 2 – malá významnosť, 3 – stredná významnosť, 4 – veľká významnosť, 5 – najväčšia významnosť). Zber údajov prebiehal v období máj aţ október 2010. Výsledky: Za hlavné definujúce charakteristiky bolo súborom slovenských sestier – expertov zo 17 charakteristík označených 6 charakteristík: zníţený turgor koţe, zníţená diuréza, suché sliznice, zníţené napätie jazyka, zníţená venózna náplň, zníţený krvný tlak. Za vedľajšie definujúce charakteristiky boli označené nasledujúce charakteristiky: zvýšená merná hmotnosť moču, suchá pokoţka, zvýšený hematokrit, slabosť, smäd, oslabený pulz, zníţený objem pulzu (nitkovitý pulz), zvýšená pulzová frekvencia, zmeny v psychickom stave, zvýšená telesná teplota. Charakteristika „náhla strata hmotnosti (s výnimkou tretieho priestoru)“ dosiahla váţené skóre menej ako 0,5. Záver: Súbor slovenských sestier za významné znaky pre určenie ošetrovateľskej diagnózy Deficit objemu telových tekutín povaţuje 6 znakov., Aim: The aim of this study is to validate the defining characteristics of a nursing diagnosis of Deficient Fluid Volume by considering a selected sample of Slovak nurse – experts. In other words, to ascertain which defining characteristics are rated by these nurses as major or minor. Methods: Fehring’s Diagnostic Content Validation model (DCV model) was used for validation of this nursing diagnosis. Slovak nurses who met the modified criteria (4 points) recommended by Fehring comprised the sample of experts - a total of 116 Slovak nurses – experts. Defining characteristics were rated by the nurses using Likert’s 5-point scale (1 – not at all characteristic, 2 – very little characteristic, 3 – somewhat characteristic, 4 – considerably characteristic, 5 – very characteristic). Data collection occurred between May and October 2010. Results: Out of 17 defining characteristics of a nursing diagnosis of Deficient Fluid Volume, the Slovak nurses’ sample classified six cues as major: decreased skin turgor, decreased urine output, dry mucous membranes, decreased tongue turgor, decreased venous filling, and decreased blood pressure. The following cues were classified as minor defining characteristics: increased urine concentration, dry skin, elevated hematocrit, weakness, thirst, decreased pulse volume and pressure, increased pulse rate, changes in mental status, increased body temperature. The weighted score of the defining characteristic „sudden weight loss (except in the third space) was less than 0.5. Conclusion: The Slovak nurses’ sample studied considered six characteristics as important in justifying the nursing diagnosis Deficient Fluid Volume., Renáta Zeleníková, Katarína Žiaková, and Literatura 29
Cieľ: Zámerom štúdie bolo zistiť, či dĺžka praxe ovplyvňuje mieru syndrómu vyhorenia v nami sledovanom súbore sestier a pôrodných asistentiek. Metódy: Zvolili sme štandardne využívaný dotazník na stanovenie miery syndrómu vyhorenia Maslach Burnout Inventory, ktorý on-line formou mohli vypĺňať sestry a pôrodné asistentky zaregistrované v Slovenskej komore sestier a pôrodných asistentiek. Vzorku tvorilo 844 sestier a pôrodných asistentiek. Výsledky: Hlbšou analýzou sa potvrdil štatisticky významný vzťah medzi mierou syndrómu vyhorenia a dĺžkou praxe. Sestry a pôrodné asistentky pracujúce v období od 1–3 rokov a od 5 rokov majú signifi kantne vyšší výskyt syndrómu vyhorenia. Závery: Zistené výsledky môžu uplatniť najmä zamestnávatelia v oblasti prevencie syndrómu vyhorenia., Aim: The aim of this study was to explore whether the length of employment aff ects the rate of burnout syndrome in nurses and midwives. Methods: In our research, we employed the standardized Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire, which was completed on-line by nurses and midwives registered in the Slovakian Guild of Nurses and Midwives. The sample consisted of 844 nurses and midwives registered by the Slovakian Guild of Nurses and Midwives. Results: Our results suggest signifi cant relation between the employment length and burnout syndrome. Nurses and midwives working from 1 to 3 years and more than 5 years had signifi cantly higher prevalence of burnout syndrome.
