Přehledové sdělení se věnuje diagnostickému zobrazení akutních aortálních syndromů s důrazem na multidetektorovou výpočetní tomografii a na její význam pro volbu léčby. Diskutovány jsou jednak techniky CT zobrazení včetně CT s EKG synchronizací a dále diagnostické nálezy u disekce aorty, intramurálního hematomu a penetrujícího vředu aorty. Literární data jsou konfrontována s vlastními zkušenostmi terciárního centra v populaci městského typu., Review payes attention to the importace of the diagnostic imaging in acute aortic syndromes concerning to the multidetector-row computed tomography and its impact on treatment decisions. The several CT techniques including CT with ECG synchronized acquisitions are discussed as well as the diagnostic findings of aortic dissection, intramural hematoma and penetrating aortic ulcer. Bibliographic data are faced with the own experience of the tertiary centre with urban population., Jiří Ferda, Petr Duras, Jan Baxa, František Šlauf, and Literatura
Laryngeal electromyography is used in the evaluation of vocal cord paralysis to confirm the diagnosis, to guide the diagnostic work-up for etiology, to provide prognostic information and to help choose the correct treatment for the patient. Cardiovocal syndrome is characterised by vocal cord paralysis due to a cardiovascular disease. A wide spectrum of conditions can result in this syndrome. Here we present a case of cardiovocal syndrome in association with primary pulmonary hypertension. Laryngeal electromyography was used to guide the work-up of differential diagnosis and also for further intervention with respect to vocal cord paralysis in this patient. and S. Akbulut, R. Inan, M. Neceliakální glutenová senzitivita byla recentně uznána odbornou veřejností jako součást spektra chorob vyvolaných lepkem. Článek popisuje současné znalosti o patofyziologii neceliakální glutenové senzitivity, rozebírá klinický a epidemiologický obraz, diagnózu a léčbu této nové klinické jednotky., Non-celiac gluten sensitivity has recently been recognized by the scientific community as a part of gluten-related disorders, and is defined as a condition with gastrointestinal and/or extra-intestinal symptoms triggered by gluten ingestion in the absence of celiac disease and wheat allergy. Currently, there is no specific serological marker and non-celiac gluten sensitivity remains a diagnosis of exclusion: testing for celiac disease and wheat allergy must be negative, symptoms must improve with a gluten-free diet, and diagnosis must be confirmed by the gluten challenge. In this article, we discuss current knowledge of pathophysiology, clinical and epidemilogical spectrum, diagnosis, and treatment of NCGS., and Iva Hoffmanová, Daniel Sánchez
VEIN-TERM konsenzus je dokument vytvorený transatlantickou interdisciplínovou komisiou expertov pod záštitou najvyšších medzinárodných angiologických inštitúcií: Americké Vénové Fórum (AVF), Európske Vénové Fórum (EVF), Medzinárodná Flebologická Únia (IUP), Americké Flebologické Kolégium (ACP) a Medzinárodná Angiologická Únia (IUA). Poskytuje odporúčania pre základnú vénovú terminológiu. Projekt CIEVY AS SLK., Pelvic congestion syndrome: chronic symptoms, which may include pelvic pain, perineal heaviness, urgency of micturition, and post-coital pain, caused by ovarian and/or pelvic vein reflux and/or obstruction, and which may be associated with vulvar, perineal, and/or lower extremity varices. The VEIN-TERM consensus document was developed by a transatlantic interdisciplinary faculty of experts under the auspices of the American Venous Forum (AVF), the European Venous Forum (EVF), the International Union of Phlebology (IUP), the American College of Phlebology (ACP), and the International Union of Angiology (IUA). It provides recommendations for fundamental venous terminology. Project Vessels of AS SMC., and Peter Gavorník, Karol Holomáň, Ľudovít Gašpar, Andrej Dukát, Andrea Komorníková, †Emil Gavorník
