The article presents results of a study of the relationship 'locus of control health and subjective wellbeing. In a heterogeneous sample (N = 239) in the stage of youth (1930 years) shall be established: locus of control determines 11.56% of the changes in the assessment of health, changes in health contribute to 12.82% of the variation in assessment of happiness and 6.10% in the measurement of life satisfaction. Young people with an internal locus of control are healthier, happier and more satisfied with their lives than those with an external locus of control. In a study of cause effect relationship is established that internal locus of control determines a healthier lifestyle. Inadequate health care, more severe risk factors (stress, unhealthy diet, inadequate sleep, smoking) among young people with an external locus of control, outline prospects for greater vulnerability of this group of the population of the so called "Diseases of modern society." The study deals with expectations of patients - future consumers of health care services provided in hospitals. Authors of this study propose about how the fulfilled or unfilled expectations can influence the patient’s satisfaction with provided health care. The article presents results of peculiarities of the hepatobiliary system in pregnant women with preeclampsia. It is set in the pregnant with preeclampsia of mild severity the frequency and combination of two and more complaints was reliably lower comparing to the frequency and combination of complaints in the pregnant with preeclampsia of mean severity. It must be mentioned that the received laboratory data positively correlated with the clinical manifestations of hepatobiliary dysfunction and the level of severity of preeclampsia that makes the further scientific researches necessary in future. Ciele: Cieľom práce bolo posúdiť spirituálnu tieseň u pacientov s depresívnou poruchou a identifikovať vzťah medzi takouto tiesňou a psychickým distresom. Metodika: Spirituálna tieseň bola posúdená Škálou životnej zmysluplnosti a subškálou existenciálna pohoda zo Škály spirituálnej pohody. Psychický distres bol posúdený dotazníkom SCL 90. Výsledky: Zistili sme, že pacienti s depresiou sú rizikoví z hľadiska prežívania spirituálnej tiesne. Zistili sme početné negatívne signifikantné vzťahy medzi znakmi spirituálnej tiesne a dimenziami psychického distresu. Vyššia miera spirituálnej tiesne bola spojená s vyšším psychickým distresom. Záver: Napriek absencii v ošetrovateľských plánoch je spirituálna tieseň závažný problém. Mimo iného prispieva k zintenzívneniu psychických problémov u pacientov s depresiou. Nedostatočná diagnostika a riešenie tejto diagnózy znižuje kvalitu poskytovanej ošetrovateľskej starostlivosti., Aim: The aim of work was to assess spiritual distress in patients with depressive disorder and to identify the relationship between such distress and psychological distress. Methods: To assess spiritual distress, we used Halama′s Life Meaningfulness Scale and as a sub-scale Existential well-being from Spiritual Well-being Scale. Psychological distress was assessed by SCL 90 questionnaire. Results: We found that patients with depression are at risk of experiencing spiritual distress. We found numerous significant negative relationships between variables of spiritual distress and dimensions of psychological distress. Higher level of spiritual distress was associated with higher psychological distress. Conclusion: Despite the absence of diagnosis Spiritual distress in a nursing care plan, it still remains a serious problem, which can lead to increased mental health problems in patients with depression. Competencies develop and changes throughout a persons life, they can gain or lose, going through various age stages. Their development does not end in youth, but continue on through the adult life. The ability to thing and reflect those thoughts specifically come forward in the center of structure of competency, which grows at the same time as the individual matures. One of the competency types is health competency. Health competency is a relatively new concept; it is not sufficiently researched. Aim of the study was to determine the factors of an adult individual health competency. 827 respondents participated in the study, in the processing of data was used SPSS. Was used factor analysis, analysis of variance with ANOVA and KruskalWallis test and Pearsons correlation. It was found that health competency is affected by several factors. These are: health education, health behavior, and the value of the environment. Each of the sets was distributed to key factors.
