The vitellogenesis of Paraechinophallus japonicus (Yamaguti, 1934), the first pseudophyllidean tapeworm of the family Echinophallidae studied using transmission electron microscope, is described on the basis of ultrastructural observations of specimens from the benthopelagic fish Psenopsis anomala (Temminck et Schlegel, 1844) (Perciformes: Centrolophidae). The process of vitellogenesis in P. japonicus follows the same general pattern observed in other tapeworms. Five stages of vitellocyte development have been distinguished. The first stage corresponds to immature cells containing ribosomes and mitochondria. The second stage of development is characterized by the appearance of granular endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi complexes, formation of shell globules and lipid droplets at the periphery of the cell cytoplasm. Vitellocyte of the third stage presents accumulation of shell globules and lipid droplets. During the fourth stage, shell globule clusters are formed, and lipid droplets and rosettes of α-glycogen are accumulated. Mature vitelline cells are characterized by a great number of lipid droplets with glycogen in the centre of the cytoplasm, whereas shell globule clusters are situated more peripherally. The interstitial tissue of vitelline follicles of P. japonicus is syncytial with long cytoplasmic projections extending between vitelline cells. The presence of a large amount of lipid droplets in the vitelline cytoplasm within the eggs of P. japonicus may be related to egg accumulation in the uterine sac.

Poskytují hrubou sílu využitelnou pro řezání a sváření v průmyslu, ale lze je nalézt i v delikátních zařízeních vyvíjených pro dosud nejpřesnější měření frekvence a času. Na začátku současného rozmachu této technologie stál erbiem dopovaný vláknový zesilovač, který byl jednou z klíčových komponent umožňujících rychlý rozvoj internetu. The purpose of this work was to detect groundwater pollution and to identify the conditions of soil and groundwater near the coal waste disposal "Panewniki" Halemba-Wirek Coal Mine using geoelectrical measurements. The firs t applied method was the VLF (Very Low Frequency) technique. This method, using military signals, allowed to perform the in-phase and the quadrature maps. Data were collected from four study areas located near the coal waste dump. Observed anomalies on both maps for each area showed places with different conductivity al lowed to detect the contaminated and uncontaminated zones. The VLF survey indicated that the contamination occurs in the eastern part of study area and is characterized by positive values of both measured electrical fields (the in-phase and the quadrature components). After preliminary contaminated zones were recognized using VLF met hod, an electrical imaging meth od was applied. Two electrical imaging profiles were carried out near the waste dump. The measurements a llowed to create the geoele ctrical model of surrounding area and to investigate the leachate plume. The electrical imaging showed that the greatest pollution occur in the area immediately adjacent to the coal waste what is confirmed by VL F survey. Diskuse o vlivu antiepileptik (AE) na homeostázu hormonů štítné žlázy (ŠŽ) začala na počátku 60. let 20. století. Ukazuje se, že pouze AE, která patří mezi enzymatické induktory (AE-IND), jmenovitě fenobarbital, primidon, fenytoin, karbamazepin a oxkarbazepin, mají charakteristický vliv na homeostázu hormonů ŠŽ, který spočívá v poklesu jejich hladin. Nemocní, kteří nejsou léčeni pro onemocnění ŠŽ, zůstávají během medikace AE-IND eutyroidní a nevyžadují T4-substituční léčbu. Nemocní s hypofunkční/afunkční ŠŽ jsou po expozici AE-IND ohroženi významným rizikem dekompenzace hypotyreózy mechanizmem farmakokinetické interakce AE-IND s T4(T3) substituční terapií. Maximum tohoto rizika lze očekávat přibližně v období prvních 2 měsíců po zahájení medikace AE-IND; jsou zmíněna specifika klinického přístupu k těmto nemocným.
