Prediktivní vliv sebelitování na sebeznevýhodňování u tureckých univerzitních studentů Východiska. V rostoucím počtu výzkumů bylo zjištěno, že větší sebelitování je spojeno s větší psychologickou a kognitivní pohodou. Lze předpokládat, že sebelitování může hrát důležitou roli v sebeznevýhodňování, přičemž různé dimenze sebelitování mohou hrát různé role. Nicméně žádný výzkum zatím nezkoumal možné souvislosti mezi těmito proměnnými. Cíl. Cílem výzkumu bylo prozkoumat vztah mezi sebelitováním a sebeznevýhodňováním. Účastníci. Výzkumu se zúčastnilo 408 univerzitních studentů, 201 (49%) žen a 207 (51%) mužů), studujících různé obory v pregraduálních programech na pedagogické fakultě univerzity Sakarya v Turecku. Metoda. Jako míry byly použity škály sebelitování a sebeznevýhodňování. Vztahy mezi sebelitováním a sebeznevýhodňováním byly zjišťovány korelační analýzou a mnohonásobnou regresní analýzou. Výsledky. Korelační analýza poukázala na negativní vztah faktorů sebelitování: laskavost k sobě, běžná lidskost a dbalost a pozitivní vztah faktorů sebelitování: sebeposouzení, izolace a přehnaná identifikace, k sebeznevýhodňování. Podle výsledků regresní analýzy bylo sebeznevýhodňování pozitivně predikováno sebeposouzením, izolací a přehnanou identifikací. Běžná lidskost negativně predikovala sebeznevýhodňování. Sebelitování vysvětlilo 51% rozptylu sebe znevýhodňování. Omezení. Získané výsledky by neměly být zobecňovány jak na univerzitní studenty, tak na jiné studentské populace, protože data byla sbírána pouze na univerzitě Sakarya v Turecku. Data o sebelitování a sebeznevýhodňování jsou omezena na subjektivní výpovědi a nevyužívala kvalitativní míry těchto proměnných., Background. A growing body of research has found that higher self-compassion is associated with greater psychological and cognitive well-being. Therefore self-compassion can be considered as playing an important role on selfhandicapping, while different dimensions of self-compassion may play different roles. However there is no research that investigated the possible links between these variables. Purpose. The purpose of this research was to examine the relationship between self-compassion and self-handicapping. Participants. Participants were 408 university students – 201 (49%) were female and 207 (51%) were male – who enrolled in various undergraduate programs at Sakarya University Faculty of Education, Turkey. Method. The Self-compassion Scale and the Self-handicapping Scale were used as measures. The relationships between self-compassion and self-handicapping were examined using correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. Results. In correlation analysis, self-kindness, common humanity, and mindfulness factors of self-compassion were found negatively and selfjudgment, isolation, and over-identification factors of self-compassion were found positively related to self-handicapping. According to regression results, self-handicapping was predicted positively by self-judgment, isolation, and over-identification. Further common humanity predicted self-handicapping in a negative way. Self-compassion has explained 51% of the variance in self-handicapping. Limitations. The results obtained in this study should not be generalized either to all university students or to other student populations, since the data were collected at just one campus in Sakarya University, Turkey. Objectives. The present study investigated the relative importance of multiple aspects of personal resiliency for the development of externalising and internalising adjustment problems in adolescence. Subjects and setting. The sample comprised 805 adolescents (45.2% boys and 54.8% girls) from seven high schools in Kraljevo, Serbia. The mean age of the adolescents was 16.71 (SD = 1.05; range 15-18 years). The participants filled out questionnaires concerning their personal resiliency and adjustment problems during school hours. Hypotheses. It was hypothesised that sense of mastery and sense of relatedness would be negatively associated with adjustment problems, whereas emotional reactivity would be positively related to externalising and internalising problems. Statistical analyses. Descriptive statistics and correlational and regression analyses were used. Results. The findings indicated that lower levels of sense of mastery and sense of relatedness and higher levels of emotional reactivity were related to antisocial behaviour, anger control problems, emotional distress and negative sense of self. Personal resiliency accounted for a significant amount of the variance (21-37%) in all types of adjustment problems. Further analyses revealed unique relationships between separate qualities of personal resilience and each type of adjustment problem. Study limitations. Studie zkoumá relativní důležitost aspektů osobní resilience pro vývoj externalizování a internalizování při vyrovnávání se s problémy v adolescenci. Soubor. Soubor zahrnoval 805 adolescentů (45,2 % chlapců a 54,8 % děvčat) ze sedmi středních škol v Kraljevu v Srbsku. Průměrný věk adolescentů byl 16,71 (směrodatná odchylka 1,05, rozpětí 15 až 18 let). Účastníci vyplnili dotazníky zjišťující jejich osobní resilienci a vyrovnávání se s problémy během školních hodin. Hypotézy. Autoři předpokládali, že úroveň dovedností a úroveň vztahů budou negativně asociovány s vyrovnáváním se s problémy, zatímco emoční reaktivita bude v pozitivním vztahu k externalizování a internalizování problémů. Statistická analýza. Byly použity metody deskriptivní statistiky a korelační a regresní analýza. Výsledky. Nižší úroveň dovedností a nižší úroveň vztahů a vyšší úroveň emoční reaktivity jsou ve vztahu k antisociálnímu chování, problémy se zvládáním hněvu, emočním distresem a negativním sebepojetím. Osobní resilience vysvětlila značnou část variance (21-37 %) ve všech typech problémů. Další analýzy ukázaly jedinečné vztahy mezi jednotlivými složkami osobní resilience a všemi typy problémů. Omezení studie. Studie je omezena danou kulturou a věkovou skupinou. The article is devoted to an evaluation of the traditional Polish psychology. However the conceptual apparatus of the traditional Polish psychology was based on the Central European theory of intentionality, the development of Polish psychology led to the theory of psychophysical psychological functions (the theory of „actions and products”). Záměr. Cílem studie bylo testování dimensionality české verze Jeffersonské škály empatie pro poskytovatele léčebné péče (JSPE-HP) na podkladě údajů získaných od representativního souboru českých lékařů a testování vlivu věku, pohlaví, délky a typu praxe na jejich výpověď. Soubor a procedura. Soubor tvořilo 1305 respondentů vybraných náhodným kvótním výběrem, dle regionu, pohlaví, věku a způsobu výkonu profese. Výsledky. Struktura nástroje byla nejprve zkoumána EFA a nález následně testován na jiném souboru CFA. Byly identifikovány tři korelované faktory s marginálně akceptovatelnou mírou shody modelu a dat. EFA vyššího řádu se Schmid-Leimanovou ortogonalizací identifikovala obecný faktor „vysvětlující“ 73,3 % rozptylu a 26,7 % rozptylu připadajících na faktory prvního řádu. Cronbachův koeficient alfa byl 0,842 a nebyl zjištěn klinicky závažný efekt věku, pohlaví, typu praxe a profesionální orientace. Neočekávaným nálezem byla relativně nízká průměrná hodnota skóru empatie ve srovnání s americkými lékaři. Výsledky studie naznačují, že česká verze JSPE-HP je jednodimensionální stupnice, psychometricky srovnatelná s US verzí a použitelná pro odhad empatického chování českých lékařů. Omezení studie. Extrapolace nálezů je limitovaná charakteristikami souborů a skutečností, že autoreferenční data nemusí nutně odrážet skutečné chování respondentů., Objectives. The aim of this study was to examine the Jefferson Scale of Physician Empathy (JSPEHP) underlying dimensionality and the relation of empathy scores to age, gender, practice experience, and practice type using responses from a representative sample of Czech physicians. Subjects and setting. The JSPE-HP was administered to a sample of 1,305 respondents selected using the hierarchical random proportional stratified sampling technique representing Czech physicians from the viewpoint of region, practice type, gender, and age. Results. The structure of the instrument was examined using EFA and the findings were tested on different sample using CFA. Three intercorrelated primary factors were identified with a marginally acceptable fit. High-order EFA employing Schmid-Leiman orthgonalization identified a general factor explaining 73.3% of the common variance with 26.7% explained by the first-order factors beyond the general factor. Cronbach’s alpha for total scale was 0.842 and no clinically important effect of age, gender, practice type, and professional orientation on physicians’ empathy score was found. The substantially lower mean empathy score of Czech physicians in comparison to that reported for US physicians is worthy of consideration. The results of this study indicate that the Czech version of JSPE-HP is an unidimensional scale, psychometrically comparable to the US version, and a sound instrument for self-reported assessment of the empathetic behavior of Czech physicians. Study limitation. The extrapolation of findings may be limited as the sample was representative of Czech physicians only from the viewpoint of four variables: region, practice type, gender, and age. Studie shrnuje současné poznatky o teorii transformačního vedení. Zabývá se tématy, která jsou důležitá pro další výzkum transformačního vedení a pro využití teorie transformačního vedení v psychologické praxi v České republice a na Slovensku. Zařazuje transformační teorii do kontextu dalších teorií vůdcovství, představuje pozitivní důsledky transformačního vedení na úrovni organizací, týmů i jednotlivců, věnuje se také kritice teorie a jejím slabým stránkám. Všímá si metody měření transformačního vedení a její validity a možností rozvoje vedoucích v organizacích. V nadväznosti na zvýšený záujem o otázky rozhodovania (najmä v oblasti ekonómie), sa autor zameral na dva druhy myslenia, ktoré sú podstatné pri jeho optimalizácii. Pokiaľ ide o kritické myslenie, popri jeho vymedzení, poukázal na jeho využívanie pri rozhodovaní v praxi, ako aj na niektoré metodické prístupy v tejto oblasti. Podrobnejšie sa venoval strategickému mysleniu, jeho odlišnosti od strategického plánovania a novším prístupom k jeho využitiu pri rozhodovaní (kognitívna mapa, scenárové plánovanie). Rodiče předčasně narozených dětí vykazují ve srovnání s rodiči, jimž se narodilo dítě v termínu, vyšší míru stresu, vyšší potřebu pomoci během prvního roku po porodu, nižší schopnost adaptace, vysokou potřebu informací a lze u nich identifikovat také projevy posttraumatické stresové poruchy. To, jak se rodiče vyrovnávají s traumatem předčasného porodu, může ovlivnit přechod k rodičovství, přebírání rodičovských kompetencí, prospívání dítěte a samotný vztah k dítěti. Studie se zaměřuje na faktory, které mohou mít na utváření vztahu k dítěti vliv, tedy i na hledání možných způsobů prevence případných rizik. Vedle matek předčasně narozených dětí se zaměřuje také na otce, kterým je věnována samostatná kapitola. Krom jiného se ukazuje, že důležitou roli v utváření vztahu k dítěti hraje zdravotnický personál. Lepší povědomí o prožívání rodičů v tomto stresujícím období by mohlo vést k citlivějšímu přístupu k rodičům, saturaci jejich potřeb, a tím i předcházení některých obtíží ústících v opožďování nástupu rodičovské identity a narušený vztah k dítěti., Parents of premature born children show - in comparison with parents whose child was born in time limit - the higher level of stress, higher need for help during the first year after the birth, lower adaptation ability, high need for information, and also manifestations of post-traumatic stress disease can be identified in them. The way the parents cope with the trauma of premature birth can influence the transition to parenthood, taking over the parent competencies, prospering of the child, and the relation to child itself. The study focuses on factors that can influence the formation of parental relation to the child and thus also the looking for the possible ways of prevention of potential risks. Except of mothers of premature born children it focuses also on fathers whom is devoted a separated part of the study. It shows besides other things that the medical personnel play an important role in forming the relation to the child.
