Rock block forms of the Szczeliniec Wielki (919 m a.s.l.) in the border area of the Stolowe Mountains massif originated due to various exogenous and endogenous pro cesses. The processes had started in the Upper Cretaceous, culminated in Late Tertiary, and continue till the present day with much lower intensity. Such processes were indica ted by historical earthquakes and different tectonic events in the Sudeten Mountains and adjacent areas. Results of geodetic geodynamic studies are presented. Several sectors of the Sudeten Mountains which include the Table Hills - Stolowe Mountains, show horizontal and vertical movements. Results of periodic precise levelling in three geodetic micro-networks established on the Szczeliniec Wielki: "Przy Schronisku", "Piekielko" and "Tarasy Poludniowe / Schody" are presented. Investigations have been augmented wit h TM-71 crack gauging in rock blocks. These studies started in 1972 increasing gradually effectiveness of monitoring. Levelling changes, as well as displaceme nts resulting from 3D monthly records of three TM-71 crack gauges have been confronted with recent investigations into tectonic micro-deformations along the Sudeten Fault in the Bohemian Massif. The static analyses and assessment of the technical condition of historical buildings in the Prague Castle Area are based on observational methods to gather the basic information about the behaviour of structures. The monitoring involves a combination of different methods of surveying, crack, inclination and temperature measurements together with the monitoring of dynamic effects of traffic and nearby tunnelling activities. These methods were enhanced by line-wise measurements using a high-precision sliding micrometer and inclinometer to assess the role of subsoil and to discover potential very slow slope movements in inclined parts of the area. Analysis of benchmark height changes along national 1st order precise levelling lines crossing the Middle Odra Fault Zone in the Wroclaw area has been presented in this paper. The zone separates Fore-Sudetic Block from the Fore-Sudetic Monocline and is one of the main geological structures in Lower Silesia. Five national precise levelling lines cross the research area: Ząbkowice Śląskie - Wrocław, Syców - Wrocław, Karczów - Wrocław, Kawice - Wrocław oraz Krotoszyn - Wrocław. These levelling lines were measured in 1956-58, 1975-80 and 1999. Changes of benchmark heights have been presented in comparison with geological cross-sections made along the levelling lines.
