V popředí nahá ženská figura, polo ležící na poduškách, její pravá noha spočívá na želvě, zleva jí kolem krku drží batole, druhé batole sedí po jejím pravém boku a drží ji za ruku. Sedící dítě drží v pravé ruce ptáčka, u jeho pravého boku spí pod drapérií kočka. V průhledu krajina s vodní hladinou, na ní pták., Volrábová 2007#, 12., and A. Volrábová Venuši s putti interpretuje jako Caritas s otazníkem. Kresba je kompozičně i námětově velmi blízká dvěma obrazům Hanse Rottenhammera (Sale 7863, Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, ...at Christie's King Street, Jul. 07, 2010, Lot 151, Hans Johann Rottenhammer, Venus reclining in a wooded landscape, attended by putti; Sale 8531, Old Master Paintings, Drawings and Frames, 29 May 2001, New York, East, Lot 254 Circle of Hans Johann Rottenhammer, Venus reclining with two putti). Venuše je zobrazena s atributy, které mají protikladný význam. Spící kočka symbolizuje lenost a chtíč, želva je atribut ctnostné ženy (Alciato, Andrea, Emblematum liber, Augsburg 1531, č. 196).
Dracunculus globocephalus Mackin, 1927 (Nematoda: Dracunculoidea) is redescribed from specimens collected from the mesentery of the snapping turtle, Chelydra serpentina (L.), in Louisiana, USA. The use of scanning electron microscopy, applied for the first time in this species, made it possible to study details in the structure of the cephalic end and the arrangement of male caudal papillae that are difficult to observe under the light microscope. This species markedly differs from all other species of Dracunculus in having the spicules greatly unequal in size and shape, in the absence of a gubernaculum, and in the disposition of male caudal papillae. The validity of D. globocephalus is confirmed, but the above mentioned morphological differences are not sufficient for listing it in a separate genus. This is the first record of D. globocephalus in Louisiana.
