Retroviry jsou RNA viry, které se replikují v hostitelské buňce. Využívají enzymu reverzní transkriptázy, která přepisuje jejich RNA do DNA. Tato DNA je pak enzymem integrázou začleňována do hostitelského genomu. Pokud dojde k integraci retroviru v germinální linii, může se tento retrovirus stát součástí lidského genomu. V lidském genomu tyto retrovirové elementy (Human Endogenous Retroviruses = HERVs) tvoří až 8 % DNA. Donedávna se vědci domnívali, že HERVy jsou neaktivní, tzn. neinfikují další buňky. Během evoluce byly mnohokrát mutovány a pozbyly schopnosti genové exprese. Převažoval také názor, že HERVy nejsou ani trankribovány - nejsou přepisovány do mRNA. Ze současných výzkumů však vyplývá, že HERVy jsou hojně přepisovány v mnoha různých tkáních lidského těla. Někdy mohou z této mRNA dokonce vznikat krátké peptidy, které pak mohou buňku ovlivňovat. Jak rozsáhlý je význam transkripce, je nyní předmětem dalších zkoumání., A retrovirus is an RNA virus using its own reverse transcriptase and integrase to produce DNA from its genome and incorporate it into the host’s genome. When a retrovirus is integrated in a germ line, it can become a part of the host genome. In human genome these elements occupy about 8 % of DNA and are called human endogenous retroviruses (HERVs). During evolution they mutated and lost their function to infect other cells. Using the FLAC3D numerical simulation method, the characteristics of mining stress evolution, fault activation patterns, and fault energy evolution characteristics are simulated and analyzed in the process of the footwall and hanging wall working face heading to a normal fault. The study shows that the fault cut off the mining stress propagation of overlying strata, and the stress blocking effect due to the fault is evident. When working faces head towards a fault, the abutment pressure and the vertical stress of the surrounding rock increase first and subsequently decrease. The abutment pressure of the coal wall and fault is highest when the distances to the fault are 40 m and 30 m for the footwall and hanging wall working faces, respectively. Moreover, the hanging wall mining stress is higher than the footwall mining stress. Fault activation in high-located strata precedes that in low-located strata when working faces head towards the normal fault. Energy is gradually accumulated before unstable fault events take place because of mining, and fault instability quickly releases a lot of energy. V tomto článku se autoři věnují tématu subjektivního vnímání profesí jako kategorií, nicméně využívají k tomu poněkud odlišný koncept a metodu: subjektivní sociální distance. Na rozdíl od prestiže povolání sledují pravděpodobnost interakce mezi profesními skupinami. Použití tohoto přístupu, dobře známého ze studia etno-kulturních distancí (viz [Ryšavý 2003]), ke studiu stratifikace je u nás relativně nové, ač se jedná o metodu vyvinutou již na přelomu 50. a 60. let. Nejprve v krátkosti představí odlišná sociologická pojetí sociálních distancí, věnovat se budou zejména konceptu subjektivnímu, který zavedl E. O. Laumann. V druhé části přinášejí výsledky empirické analýzy subjektivních interakčních distancí k 22 profesím, které byly zjišťovány ve výzkumu “ Sociální distance 2007”. Vnímáme profese jako hierarchicky uspořádané? Existují shluky profesí, které bychom mohli označit za subjektivní sociální třídy ve vědomí lidí? Nejen o tom se v tomto článku dočtete více., Using the concept of subjective social distance we focus on perceptions of occupational categories. First, the the - oretical concept of social distance is introduced as a tool for measuring social stratification. Second, subjective hypothetical interactional distances to 22 occupational stimuli are analyzed with data from the Social Distances 2007 survey. People rate the stimuli hierarchically analogous to occupational prestige and socioeconomic status; however some minor divergences can be detected. Further we focus on differences among gender and members of self identified social classes. The main part assesses the hypothesis of the existence of subjective social class boundaries. The status-continuum is shared by the whole public, yet we can identify mental categorization patterns of professional groupings which draw an intense bounda - ry between white and blue collar professions. Further, four groupings regarded as subjective social class can be identified: higher professionals, female lower professionals, qualified and semi-qualified manual and non-manual workers, and unqua - lified manual professions with low prestige., and Jiří Šafr, Julia Häuberer.
Cardiovascular (CV) mortality was reduced more than 50 % in the Czech population at the turn of the century, due to an improvement of major CV risk factors in the general population, interventional procedures implemented into the treatment of acute coronar y events, and new drugs (ACE inhibitors, statins etc.) for CV prevention (Czech MONICA and post-MONICA studies, 1985-2008). An insufficient level of preventive efforts is described in the Czech patients after acute coronary syndrome (Czech part of the EURO ASPIRE studies, 1995-2013). Drug underdosing and wrong patients’ compliance to life style and drug therapy recommendations represent two main reasons of this unsatisfactory situation. The residual vascular risk of patients with stable coronary heart diseas e (CHD) is still high due to a poor control of conventional risk factors on the one hand, and due to increasing weight and glucose metabolism abnormalities on the other hand. Patients with insulin resistance and glucose dis orders have more frequently non-LDL-C dyslipidemia (atherogenic dyslipidemia), hypertriglyceridemic waist and high atherogenic index of plasma (AIP>0.24), i.e. markers of residual CV risk. V naší fauně jsou známy dva původní druhy suchozemských neparazitických ploštěnců (Microplana terrestris a M. humicola) a další dva nepůvodní druhy se pravidelně vyskytují ve sklenících (Bipalium kewense a Rhynchodemus sylvaticus). Výskyt druhého z nepůvodních druhů je pravděpodobný i ve volné přírodě., Two native species of free-living terrestrial flatworms (Microplana terrestris and M. humicola) are known in the wild of the Czech Republic and two other non-native species (Bipalium kewense and Rhynchodemus sylvaticus) have been repeatedly recorded in the greenhouses.
