Mathematical modelling is shown as an efficient tool for studying the behaviour of reservoir ecosystems. Two mathematical models, namely ASTER and DYRESM-WQ and their characteristic features are described. The parameters of both models and their values used for simulation of reservoir Rimov are presented. Sensitivity analysis for both models was performed in the scope to demonstrate the sensitivity of simulation results to the parameter changes. The simulation results were compared to the measurements in situ with satisfying accuracy. The suitability of application of both models on the food web simulation of valley reservoirs is discussed. and Článek ukazuje matematické modelování jako účinný prostředek pro studium chování ekosystémů údolních nádrží.
All phenomena in nature are going on continuity way. All independent and dependent quantities are changing with time. Solving the problems of advection and dispersion of an observed component in a system of river network, influences of time and dispersion cannot be neglected in general. Since knowledge of hydraulic quantities (average velocity and cross sectional area) are presumed, a concentration c(x,t) of the observed component in a stream is the only unknown function. To determine this function c(x, t), one equation is needed - Advective-Dispersion Equation (ADE). ADE expresses law of mass conservation. The paper deals with analytical solutions of problems of transport and dispersion of the observed component in streams, namely for steady and unsteady problems. Analytical solutions are useful for validation of numerical solutions and for sensitivity analysis. The sensitivity analysis helps to determine influences of a separate coefficient of a model. Analytical solutions are derived dfor constant velocity, constant discharge and constant cross-sectional area. Also it is assumed constant dispersion coefficient. and V přírodě probíhají všechny jevy kontinuálně, kdy veškeré nezávislé, ale i závislé veličiny se mění s časem.
The object of presented article is to demonstrate how the frequency of input data can affect the results of mathematical modelling of reservoir ecosystems. The study was done for Rimov Reservoir, a water supply reservoir in the south of Bohemia. The 2-D water quality model CE-QUAL-W2 was used for the simulation. Among all input data only the inflow temperature and meteorological data have significant daily variation. For this reason the study focuses to the influence of frequency of these two data sets on the simulation results. The simulations were effectuated with data measured as hourly averages, as daily averages and three times a day and the simulation results were statistically evaluated. It is shown that in common hydrological and meteorological conditions the simulation mean error is in acceptable limits, only in case of more important discharges and inflow temperatures they become more significant. The study leads to the conclusion that it is not necessary to try to get the data measured with high frequency and that in the most cases the simulation using daily averages of input data is sufficient. and Účelem článku je ukázat, jak může frekvence vstupu dat ovlivnit výsledky matematického modelování ekosystémů nádrží, a to na příkladu vodárenské nádrže Římov.
