Multimedia social networks (MSNs) provide great convenience to users, while privacy leaks issues are becoming prominent. The studies on relationship-based access control have been widely used in social networks. However, with the dynamic development of social networks and rapid growth of user information, the access control does not completely meet the current system's need. In this paper, an attribute-based access control model called ABAC{MSN is proposed for MSNs. This model comprehensively considers user attributes, environment attributes and resource attributes, not only including relationships among users. In this model, users can set multimedia usage control policies based on three categories of user-defined attributes. A formal theoretical model is established, which includes constraint rules, data ow rules, policy conflict resolution mechanism, and applied to CyVOD.net, a multimedia social-network-platform prototype systems. The deployment and application denote that this method effectively and exibly addresses use-case scenarios of multi-attribute-based media access control, and improves the access security of social media platforms and resources.
We compared variation in sun-canopy leaf anatomy, morphology and photosynthetic rates of coexisting woody species (trees and lianas) in an 8-year-old secondary forest (SF) and mature forest (MF) in the wet season in Xishuangbanna, SW China. Variability of leaf traits of 66 species within growth-form groups in each forest was quantified using coefficients of variation (CV). For the mean values, the woody species in the SF had significantly higher leaf thickness and stomatal density, but lower nonmesophyll/mesophyll ratios than those in the MF. The average leaf area and leaf mass area (LMA) in the studied woody species did not change greatly during the successional process, but differed significantly between the growth forms, with trees having higher values than lianas. The light-saturated photosynthetic rate per unit leaf area (Aa) of the woody species in the SF ranged from 11.2 to 34.5 μmol m-2 s-1, similarly to pioneer tree species from literature data in southeast Asia. The Aa and photosynthetic nitrogen-use efficiency (PNUE) were significantly higher than those in the MF; whereas Aa in the MF ranged between 9 to 21 μmol m-2 s-1, with similar values between lianas and trees. For all woody species in both SF and MF, there were no significant differences in the average values of the CV of all measured variables for both lianas and trees. However, considerable variation in leaf anatomy, morphology, and photosynthetic rates within both growth forms and forests existed, as well as substantial variation in leaf size and stomatal density. We concluded that the tropical woody species formed a heterogeneous functional group in terms of leaf morphology and physiology in both secondary and mature forests. and L. Han ... [et al.].
Spontaneous activity of cortical neurons exhibits alternative fluctuations of membrane potential consisting of phased depolarization called "up-state" and persistent hyperpolarization called "down-state" during slow wave sleep and anesthesia. Here, we examined the effects of sound stimuli (noise bursts) on neuronal activity by intracellular recording in vivo from the rat auditory cortex (AC). Noise bursts increased the average time in the up-state by 0.81±0.65 s (rang e, 0.27-1.74 s) related to a 10 s recording duration. The rise times of the spontaneous up-events averaged 69.41±18.04 ms (range, 40.10-119.21 ms), while those of the sound-evoked up-events were significantly shorter (p<0.001) averaging on ly 22.54±8.81 ms (range, 9.31- 45.74 ms). Sound stimulation did not influence ongoing spontaneous up-events. Our data suggest that a sound stimulus does not interfere with ongoing spontaneous neuronal activity in auditory cortex but can evoke new depolarizations in addition to the spontaneous ones., Y. Drought significantly constrains higher yield of alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) in arid and semiarid areas all over the world. This study evaluated the responses of leaf cuticular wax constituents to drought treatment and their relations to gas-exchange indexes across six alfalfa cultivars widely grown in China. Water deficit was imposed by withholding water for 12 d during branching stage. Cuticular waxes on alfalfa leaves were dominated by primary alcohols (41.7-54.2%), alkanes (13.2-26.9%) and terpenes (17.5-28.9%), with small amount of aldehydes (1.4-3.4%) and unknown constituents (4.5-18.4%). Compared to total wax contents, the wax constituents were more sensitive to drought treatment. Drought decreased the contents of primary alcohol and increased alkanes in all cultivars. Alkane homologs, C25, C27, and C29, were all negatively correlated with photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate, stomatal conductance, and leaf water potential. Under drought conditions, both stomatal and nonstomatal factors were involved in controlling water loss from alfalfa leaves. No direct relationship was observed between wax contents and drought resistance among alfalfa cultivars. An increase in alkane content might be more important in improving drought tolerance of alfalfa under water deficit, which might be used as an index for selecting and breeding drought resistant cultivars of alfalfa., Y.
