Fundamentals of the theory of system alliances are briefly reviewed. An accent is put on interfaces (IFs). The model of IFs consisting of a pair of finite deterministic automata sharing a part of their internal state space is introduced. The presented model of alliance interface can be successfully implemented for the study of typical phenomena in complex heterogeneous objects with a significant degree of uncertainty.
Based on the crystal structure and spectral properties of C-phycocyanin (C-PC) from cyanobacteria, models for complexes with 2 and 3 C-PC hexamer disks were built and the energy transfer dynamic properties were studied by the use of stochastic computer simulation approach. In addition, an experimental parameter of 0.056 ps-1, corresponding to a time constant of 18 ps, derived from the previous time-resolved measurement, was used for simulation of the energy transfer process from the three terminal symmetrically equivalent β84 chromophores of the core-linked disk to an α84 chromophore of the allophycocyanin (APC) core. The simulation showed: (1) The disk-to-disk energy transfer can be as fast as several picoseconds. (2) The energy transfer efficiencies from the first disk to the core would depend on the length of the rod (i.e. the number of disks). Efficiencies of 0.95, 0.87, and 0.75 were found for the rods with 1, 2 and 3 hexamer disks, respectively. (3) The energy transfer along a rod in a native phycobilisome (PBS) is probably very close to the one-way manner. It is the core of PBS that makes the excitation energy be transferred fast in a nearly one-way manner. and Jie Xie, Jing-quan Zhao, Chenghang Peng.
This paper deals with the modelling and control of balanced wheeled autonomous mobile robot. For the MBS dynamics modelling software tool Matlab-SimMechanics is used. The model derived automatically from geometric-topological description of MBS is used for the control purposes (local linearization for state space control, testing of nonlinear system controlled by LQR) and also as a reference during the analytical model formulation for global feedback linearization. The dual accelerometer is used as a tilt sensor and the proposed method for sensory processing is described in this paper. The approach is based on iterative solution of nonlinear equation. Control using the state space (LQR) and the feedback linearization is compared. Also, the influence of sensor noises and delays implemented into the model are discussed. Finally, the solution is verified on real physical model controlled by means of hardware ni the loop (HIL). and Obsahuje seznam literatury
Dynamical behavior of a boundary layer separation is studied using both theoretical analysis and experimental approach. The dynamical nature of the phenomenon is demonstrated on a simple case of a boundary layer in adverse pressure gradient studied experimentally. The Time-Resolved PIV technique was used to study instantaneous structure of the separation region and its time development. Distinctive coherent structures and their dynamical behavior were identified using the BOD method. and Obsahuje seznam literatury
Following the introduction of Anguillicola crassus into Lake Balaton, by 1991 the entire eel population became infected. At the same time, marked differences existed in the prevalence and intensity of infection between different areas of the lake. The highest prevalence values occurred in the eastern basin less densely populated with eels, while in the western basin a large proportion of the fish were free of infection. Helminth-free status accompanied by thickening of the swimbladder wall developed after intensive infections. In 1991, eel mortality could be observed only in the western basin. In 1992, the number of eels with swimbladders having a thickened wall but not containing helminths increased also in the central and eastern areas of the lake. Parallel to this, a mortality less expressed than the one in 1991 occurred in the central part of the lake. By 1993, a host-parasite equilibrium had become established in Lake Balaton.

Let f: X → X be a continuous map with the specification property on a compact metric space X. We introduce the notion of the maximal Birkhoff average oscillation, which is the “worst” divergence point for Birkhoff average. By constructing a kind of dynamical Moran subset, we prove that the set of points having maximal Birkhoff average oscillation is residual if it is not empty. As applications, we present the corresponding results for the Birkhoff averages for continuous functions on a repeller and locally maximal hyperbolic set., Jinjun Li, Min Wu., and Obsahuje seznam literatury
Kvůli vzájemnému odpuzování těchto nábojů dojde k takzvané coulombické explozi, kdy s povrchu ohromnou rychlostí vylétají kousky kovu do vody. Tím se reaktanty efektivně promíchají, což je podmínkou výbuchu., Throwing a piece of sodium into water is a dangerous, but popular experiment demonstrating an explosive chemical reaction. Every chemistry teacher knows that during the explosion heat is released when electrons move from the metal to water generating water vapor, hydroxide, and hydrogen which can ignite. Gases generated at the interface between the metal and water should, however, separate the reactants and thus quench the explosion. How is it possible that the explosion can nevertheless take place? Thanks to pictures from an ultrafast camera and molecular simulations researchers from the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry found a hitherto unknown primary mechanism of the explosive reaction of alkali metals in water. When the electrons move from the metal to water, the former acquires a large positive charge. Repulsion between these charges leads to a Coulomb explosion with metal spikes shooting into water. This leads to effective mixing of reactants thus enabling the explosion., and Pavel Jungwirth.
A phytosociological synthesis of the segetal vegetation in the Czech Republic was performed using methods of the Zürich-Montpellier school. In total, 712 relevés made by the author in this country in 1955–2000 were classified, and 22 associations and one unranked community were distinguished. Each syntaxon is characterized by diagnostic species, documented by a synoptic table, and the syntaxonomy, structure, species composition, ecology, dynamics, distribution and variability of each syntaxon are commented on. Names are revised according to the rules of the International Code of Phytosociological Nomenclature. All syntaxa belong to the class Stellarietea mediae and associations are assigned to the orders Centaureetalia cyani (alliances Caucalidion lappulae, Fumario-Euphorbion, and Sherardion), Atriplici-Chenopodietalia (alliances Scleranthion annui, Polygono-Chenopodion polyspermi, Arnoseridion minimae, and Panico-Setarion), and Eragrostietalia (alliance Eragrostion).
Current data on reproductive biology and population dynamics of the acanthocephalans are scarce mainly in regions from the tropical Pacific. An analysis was done to identify possible factors that influence variation in infection levels of the acanthocephalan Pseudoleptorhynchoides lamothei Salgado-Maldonado, 1976 in its final host, the blue sea catfish Ariopsis guatemalensis (Günther, 1864), and describe its main reproductive traits. A total of 1,094 A. guatemalensis were collected from Tres Palos Lagoon from August 2014 to December 2015. Prevalence of P. lamothei varied from 1.47% to 38.33%, and mean abundance from 0.03 to 4.44 helminths per examined host. In female P. lamothei relative fecundity increased with total length. Temporal variations in P. lamothei infection levels were attributed mainly to changes in host feeding and reproductive behaviour in response to local environmental factors as climatic season, and variations in water temperature., Dolores I.
