2. Redescription of Gessyella latridopsis (Johnston et Mawson, 1945) (Nematoda: Capillariidae), a parasite of latrid fishes from the Southern Hemisphere

- The type species of the monotypic genus Gessyella Freitas, 1959, G. latridopsis (Johnston et Mawson, 1945) (Nematoda: Capillariidae), is redescribed from specimens found in the rectum of the marine fish Nemadactylus bergi Norman (Latridae, Perciformes) (a new host record) from the southwestern Atlantic Ocean off Mar del Plata, Argentina. In addition to the morphological and biometrical variability of this species, some new, previously unreported taxonomic features, such as the extent of the spination of the spicular sheath, the morphology of the spicular canal, the distal end of the spicule, the ejaculatory duct, the cloaca, the seminal vesicle, vas deferens and the testis, are described for the first time. Despite the long geographical distance of G. latridopsis records (Australia vs. Argentina), the morphology of the newly collected specimens is in agreement with the existing descriptions of G. latridopsis and both host species are closely related. Therefore, the Argentine specimens are considered to belong to this species.

- The raster based on Fresnel’s optics working as converging cylindrical optic are widely used in the range of utilization of the Sun energy as construction elements of translucent roofs and facades. The energetic balance of building’s interior equipped of these elements can be simulated mathematically and proved by experiment imitating precisely real conditions of an application. The described simulator was developed for such experiments. The angle between incoming radiation and the normal of a glass surface can be set by this simulator. This results present the functionality of the described device. and Rastry na bázi Fresnelovy optiky činné jako spojná válcová optika nebo hranoly nacházejí významné uplatnění v oblasti využití sluneční energie jako konstrukční prvky průsvitných střech a fasád. Energetickou bilanci interiérů budov vybavených zmíněnými prvky lze simulovat výpočtem a ověřit experimentem organizovaným tak, aby se co nejpřesněji napodobily skutečné podmínky aktuální aplikace. K příslušným experimentům byl vyvinut uvedený simulátor, kterým lze nastavit úhel mezi přicházejícím zářením a normálou k prosklené ploše. Uvedené výsledky prokazují funkceschopnost navrženého zařízení.

4. Štúdium interakcie cytochrómu c s kalixarénmi zabudovanými do lipidových membrán

- We studied the interaction of cytochrome c (cyt c) with unilamellar liposomes (ULL) composed of dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine (DMPC) modified by calix[6]arene (CX). We also analyzed the influence of cyt c on the properties of monomolecular films on an air-water interface composed of CX. The changes of the liposome size have been studied by dynamic light scattering and the zeta potential was determined by Doppler velocimetry. By ultrasound attenuation coefficient we also studied the effect of CX on the phase transition of the lipid bilayer of liposomes. The liposomes containing 10mol% CX have been on average 1.5 times larger in comparison with unmodified ULL. The increase of ULL diameter has been accompanied by a decrease of zeta potential toward negative values. This has been due to negatively charged carboxyl groups of CX polar part. The interaction of cyt c with CX resulted in an increase of zeta potential. CX did not affect the phase transition temperature of liposomes (T = 24.4 °C). However, the half width of the transition peak increased which is evidence of a decrease of the cooperativity of phase transition. CX forms stable monomolecular films on the air-water interphase. The presence of cyt c in a water subphase caused an increase of mean molecular area of CX. The dependence of relative changes of the area per molecule as a function of cyt c concentration had the shape of Langmuir isotherm.
