Studie přináší zprávu o výsledcích komplexně pojatého výzkumu dvojdílného, příkopem ohrazeného areálu z konce raného středověku v Ledčicích (okr. Mělník). Areál objevený při letecké prospekci byl podroben opakovanému geofyzikálnímu měření a sondáži, doplněné namátkovým povrchovým sběrem. Analýza leteckých snímků a výsledky dosažené uvedenými postupy terénního výzkumu prokázaly současnost obou hlavních komponent areálu; rozbor nálezového souboru datuje jeho existenci do 1. pol. 13. století. V kontextu dosavadních znalostí o podobě sídelních/hospodářských jednotek pozemkové šlechty představuje ledčický areál ojedinělou situaci, která zachycuje jednak v úplnosti tvar a velikost vlastního jádra (dvojdílného) dvora a jednak ohrazení přiléhajícího prostoru. and This paper reports on the results of a comprehensive investigation of a two-part ditched enclosure from the final part of the Early Middle Ages near Ledčice (Mělník distr.). The site discovered via aerial reconnaissance was plough-walked, subjected to a geophysical survey and test excavated. The analysis of aerial photographs and data from the aforementioned field methods has demonstrated the contemporaneity of the two enclosures; pottery fragments date the site to the first half of the 13th century. In the context of the current state of research on the settlements of early country lords, the Ledčice site represents a unique situation with the complete ground-plan and size of such settlement (a two-part ditched enclosure as its principal component) and also a few components outside the central feature.
Předkládané příklady pocházejí z rozličných, převážně zkoumaných archeologických situací a dokládají možnosti efektivní aplikace povrchových měření magn. susceptibility in situ (zahloubené objekty, relikty fortifikací, výrobních areálů, objektů funerálních a dalších specifických situací). and In archaeology, the magnetometric method can be used in the observation of individual archaeological features or sectional horizontal and vertical contexts while excavation is in progress. By measuring magnetometric susceptibility, it is possible to determine differences in the magnetic properties of various materials in the fill or the structure of features, to determine the components in the stratigraphy of sunken features or cultural layers, or to determine the state of preservation of features, etc. The examples presented are drawn from diverse, mostly excavated archaeological contexts and demonstrate the possibilities inherent in the effective applications of surface measurements of magnetic susceptibility in situ (sunken features, relics of fortifications, production sites, funeral-related features and other specific contexts).
Výsledky průzkumů přispěly k prokázání dosud neznámých systémů opevnění hradišť. and The present non-destructive methods of archaeology offer more possibilities for surveys of archaeological sites. The systematic survey of hillforts is one from the most promising areas for the use of geophysical methods. Two chosen application examples represent two different ways (survey of full area or chosen areas of the expected fortification) of the efficient use of the mainly magnetometric method before planned building activity in areas of archaeological sites. Part of the inner area and fortifications of the Přerovská Hůra prehistoric and early medieval hillfort is endangered by the construction of a water reservoir (the site was surveyed by full area geophysical prospection). Previously unknown outer fortifications of the Zámka prehistoric and early medieval hillfort are endangered by the construction of the bypass around Prague. New results from surveys before the beginning of earthwork helped document systems of hillfort fortifications that were unknown.
