One of the key hydrodynamic problems of gravitational flow with free surface namely the problem of free or unknown boundary has been dealt with in this study. By means of analytical transformation from N-dimensional space to N-1 dimensional space the equations of movement on the fluid boundary are derived from the Euler´s equations independently of the circumstance, whether this boundary is solid, i. e. the bottom, or free surface. In the second part the boundary potential and closing up the system of boundary equations will be treated. and Štúdia sa zaoberá jedným z kľúčových problémov gravitačného prúdenia s voľnou hladinou - problémom neznámej pohyblivej hranice. Známe sú dve približné riešenia tohto problému. Jedno poskytuje lineárna teória malých rozruchov (malých vĺn) a druhé teória plytkej vody. V štúdii je riešený tento problém priamou transformáciou Eulerových rovníc na materiálové hranice pohybujúcej sa tekutiny, t.j. na pevné steny a na voľnú hladinu. Použitý teoretický prístup sa zaobíde teda bez zjednodušujúcich predpokladov teórie malých vĺn a teórie plytkej vody.

In this second part the boundary potential and closing up the obtained system of boundary equations is treated. and Predmetom tejto štúdie je jeden z kľúčových problémov gravitačného prúdenia s voľnou hladinou - problém neznámej hranice. V prvej časti štúdie boli odvodené rovnice pohybu tekutiny na jej materiálovej hranici, ako na pevnej, tak aj na voľnej hladine. To sa podarilo urobiť priamou analytickou transformáciou prostredníctvom vzťahov platných medzi vnútornými a vonkajšími deriváciami závisle premenných na hranici tekutiny. Táto časť štúdie sa zaoberá uzatvorením systému hraničných rovníc, získaných transformáciou v 1. časti štúdie.
Groundwater flow in surroundings of water structures is frequently noted for singularities in velocity field. These are induced by high gradients of velocity and pressure in closeness of slots and edges in structures. The study does analysis of some hydrodynamic properties of the singularities and warns against its possible incorrect model simulation. and Prúdenie podzemnej vody v okolí hydrotechnických stavieb ako sú potrubia, tunely, nádrže a plavebné komory sa často vyznačuje zvláštnosťami (singularitami) v rýchlostných poliach. Tie sú vyvolávané vysokými gradientami rýchlosti a tlaku v okolí netesností objektov, alebo ich núteným obtekaním. Štúdia analyzuje hydrodynamické vlastnosti týchto singularít a upozorňuje na dôsledky ich prípadne nesprávnej interpretácie.
In the article a theoretical basis and some practical results of treatment with the inverse task as solution of the problem of free boundary are presented. This solution originates from the hydrodynamic theory of boundaries, see Kosorin (2005; 1993). Its main product is the method for transformation of Ndimensional hydrodynamic task into N-1 dimesional one which allows to formulate and solve an inverse task, where the seepage velocity field has to be determined in the domain below the given free water surface. In this case the free surface is assumed to be given by means of contour lines. and V štúdii sú uvedené teoretické východiská a praktické ukážky riešenia inverznej úlohy ako problému voľnej hranice pri sledovaní pohybu podzemnej vody. Toto riešenie vychádza z hydrodynamickej teórie hraníc, pozri Kosorin (2005; 1993). Hlavný produkt teórie je metóda transformácie N-rozmernej hydrodynamickej hraničnej úlohy na N-1 rozmernú hranicu pôvodnej oblasti. To dovoľuje formulovať a riešiť aj tie inverzné úlohy, kde sa rýchlostné pole podzemnej vody určuje v oblasti pod zadanou voľnou hladinou na základe informácií o tejto hranici a geológii prostredia. V tomto prípade ide o voľnú hladinu, zadanú vrstevnicami.
