The water structures Hričov - Mikšová - Považská Bystrica are a group of channel hydro power plants (HPP) on the Váh Cascade. Modelling methods verified on other channel hydro power plants are easily applicable in their case. In 2006 were by our department provided terrain measurements and hydraulic research on these water structure systems. The results of measurements were used for the better calibration of hydro dynamical model of these power plants. The presented paper describes this process. This work was supported by Science and Technology Assistance Agency under the contract No. APVT-20-046302.
This article is concerned with the memory and commemoration of acts of armed force which were committed as part of the civilian resistance to the Communist régime in its ‘founding period’ after February 1948. It focuses on how memory is constituted around this minority form of anti-Communist resistance, particularly by means of memorial sites in the process of their formation in the period before the Changes that began in mid-November 1989 and also afterwards. In the fi rst part of the article, the author looks at armed confl icts at the edge of the Iron Curtain, that is, on the western borders of Communist Czechoslovakia. She seeks to demonstrate that the way of looking at border crossings by people fl eeing to the West is still considerably infl uenced by the memory and commemorative activities of veterans of the former border guards, amongst whom dominates the image of these refugees as internal enemies of the State. The second part of the article isdevoted to instances of so-called ''political murder'', that is, acts of violence against Communist politicians, which are connected particularly with villages. Most of these stories are gradually being forgotten; society does not want to recall them. An exception, however, is the memory of the sad events in the village of Babice, in the Bohemian-Moravian uplands, in 1951, which has repeatedly been used by politicians. In the third part of the article, the author considers the social discourse about the ethical dimension of armed anti-Communist resistance, which is almost exclusively focused on the atypical case of the group led by the Mašín brothers, and the process of forming the memory of the three resistances (the fi rst, against Austria-Hungary during the Great War; the second, against the German occupying forces during the Second World War; and the third, against the Communist régime during the Cold War). She describes the commemorative activities of the Confederation of Political Prisoners as part of the strategy to bolster the social standing of the third, anti-Communist resistance, and she points to certain analogies between the unchallenged memories of political prisoners and the memories of the former border guards in contemporary historiography. and Překlad: Lucia Faltinova
Web services are the basic building blocks for the business which is different from web applications. Testing of web services is difficult and increases the cost due to the unavailability of source coder. In previous work, web services were tested based on the syntactic structure using Web Service Description Language (WSDL) for atomic web services. This paper proposes an automated testing framework for composite web services based semantics, where the domain knowledge of the web services is described by protege tool [13] and the behavior of the entire business operation flow for the composite web service is provided by Ontology Web Language for services (OWL-S)[6]. Prioritization of test cases is performed based on various coverage criteria for composite web services. Series of experiments were conducted to assess the effects of prioritization on the coverage values and benefits of prioritization techniques were found.
The term “Retract Theorem” has been applied in literature in connection with group theory. In the present paper we prove that the Retract Theorem is valid (i) for each finite structure, and (ii) for each monounary algebra. On the other hand, we show that this theorem fails to be valid, in general, for algebras of the form $\mathcal{A}=(A,F)$, where each $f\in F$ is unary and $\operatorname{card}F >1$.
Mechanical systems with parametric excitation have been investigated more frequently during the last years. New findings on the system behavior when excited at a parametric combination resonance frequency have triggered this increasing interest in such systems. Almost all studies, however, have been carried out analytically or numerically, so that there is a need for experimental work to prove the theoretical results. Partly the reason for this lack of experimental studies is found in several design problems that one faces when this task is tackled. In this contribution, a review of test facilities known from the literature is presented. Typical solutions suitable for experimental work and recent developments are discussed. and Obsahuje seznam literatury
A sub-exponential Weibull random variable may be expressed as a quotient of a unit exponential to an independent strictly positive stable random variable. Based on this property, we propose a test for exponentiality which is consistent against Weibull and Gamma distributions with shape parameter less than unity. A comparison with other procedures is also included.
In regular multivariate regression model a test of linear hypothesis is dependent on a structure and a knowledge of the covariance matrix. Several tests procedures are given for the cases that the covariance matrix is either totally unknown, or partially unknown (variance components), or totally known.
The paper concentrates on modeling the data that can be described by a homogeneous or non-homogeneous Poisson process. The goal is to decide whether the intensity of the process is constant or not. In technical practice, e.g., it means to decide whether the reliability of the system remains the same or if it is improving or deteriorating. We assume two situations. First, when only the counts of events are known and, second, when the times between the events are available. Several statistical tests for a detection of a change in an intensity of the Poisson process are described and illustrated by an example. We cover both the case when the time of the change is assumed to be known or unknown.
The aim of the paper is further presentation of some destructive and non-destructive methods for investigation of mechanical properties of natural stone quarried and used as a building material in Bohemia in the past. Tested samples were made both from virgin material from existing quarries (e.g. sandstone from Hořice) and from material acquired from historical constructions (various sandstones from the Charles Bridge in Prague), which was built-in for a long time. The flexural strength, the compressive strength and Young modulus were obtained from basic destructive tests. Before performing these tests the identical samples were investigated non-destructively by ultrasound and so called peeling test so that the two ways of testing could be compared in the end. and Obsahuje seznam literatury
Inspired by Rakonczai et al. [8], we use autocopulas for the testing of linearity against Markov-switching type of nonlinearity and remaining nonlinearity. They applied this autocopula approach to testing heteroscedasticity in AR-ARCH model. Given a strictly stationary time series Yt, a k-lag autocopula is a bivariate joint distribution function of the random vector (Yt, Yt-k). Our contribution is in extending the idea to test the linearity against Markov-switching type of nonlinearity and remaining nonlinearity [5,6] in order to avoid classical, time-consuming tests.
