Reklama ve své podstatě nevytváří žádný specifický jazyk, nýbrž ve větší či menší míře absorbuje všechny jazykové vrstvy a styly, tj. reflektuje rovněž některé prvky odborného jazyka. Odborné názvy obsažené v reklamních inzerátech (zvláště v textech označovaných termínem "Haupttext", ve sloganech je výskyt velmi sporadický) však neslouží к věcné argumentaci v pravém smyslu slova, nýbrž mají odbornost spíše sugerovat, vzbuzovat zdání vědeckosti, modernosti, vytvářet technický mýtus, atd. Vedle odborných termínů se často objevují i pseudotermíny (především u názvů výrobků složených z číselných a hláskových kombinací). Jazyk reklamy nevytváří celistvý terminologický systém, naopak vedle odborných názvů pracuje s prvky citově zabarvenými, slovy módními, výrazy poetickými, rétorickými a expresivními. Z hlediska syntaktické roviny se jako společný znak reklamního a odborného jazyka jeví jistá pregnantnost sdělení, odrážející se především v dominanci substantiv (zvláště kompozit). Na rozdíl od odborných textů však dosahuje reklamní slogan výrazné komprimace výpovědi především vysokou frekvencí jednočlenných vět. Zároveň s termíny proniká do reklamních textů množství cizojazyčných prvků (mnohé apelatívni a odborné výrazy jsou cizího původu), silně se projevuje vliv amerikanismů a anglicismů. Reklama přejímá přímo cizojazyčná pojmenování (včetně názvů výrobků), domácí výrobky pojmenovává pomocí cizojazyčných prvků nebo záměrně potlačuje již zdomácnělé podoby cizích slov návratem к jejich původnímu pravopisu. Výrazná je rovněž tendence spojovat cizojazyčné elementy různého původu v jeden významový celek. Obdobně jako odborné názvy mají cizí slova (zvláště mezinárodně rozšířené výrazy) zvyšovat prestiž reklamního sdělení.
This research work involved the use of factorial design technique to investigate the adsorption of silver ions from water onto montmorillonite. There is a growing interest in using low-cost and commercially available materials for the adsorption of heavy metals. Clay particles are strongly anisotropic and exhibit faces and edges, which are very different in surface area and in chemical behavior. It has been reported that the abundance of clay minerals and their low cost has posed them a strong candidate as adsorbent for removal of heavy metal from wastewater. In this study, a factorial experimental design technique was used to investigate the adsorption of silver ions from water onto montmorillonite. The experimental factors and their respective levels that were selected include a pH of 3 - 8, an adsorbent dosage of 0.5-2.0 g/L and an initial silver ions concentration of 20-200 mg/L. The adhesive material used to bond orthodontic brackets to teeth should neither fail during the treatment period, resulting in treatment delays, untoward expenses or patient inconvenience nor should it damage the enamel on debonding at the end of the treatment. Although the effectiveness of a bonding system and any unfavorable effects on the enamel may be studied by conducting in-vivo studies, it is nearly impossible to independently analyze different variables that influence a specific bonding system in the oral environment. In-vitro studies, on the other hand, may utilize more standardized protocols for testing different bonding systems and materials available. Thus, the present review focused attention on in-vitro studies and made an attempt to discuss material-related, teeth-related (fluorotic vs non-fluorotic teeth) and other miscellaneous factors that influences the shear bond strength of orthodontic brackets. Within the limitations of this review, using conventional acid-etch technique, ceramic brackets and bonding to non-fluorotic teeth was reported to have a positive influence on the shear bond strength of orthodontic brackets, but higher shear bond strength found on using ceramic brackets can be dangerous for the enamel. and W. Until recently, the Canadian distribution of the blueberry maggot, Rhagoletis mendax Curran (Diptera: Tephritidae), was restricted to Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. The insect was first mentioned in southern Quebec in 1996 and, to date, it has not reached the Lac St-Jean region, where 34% of Canadian blueberry acreage is located. Two questions concerning the northern limit of distribution of the blueberry maggot in Quebec were addressed. First, are wild plants suitable hosts for larval development? We collected the fruit of five wild plants, (e.g. Vaccinium corymbosum, Vaccinium angustifolium, Vaccinium myrtilloides, Gaylussacia baccata, and Aronia melanocarpa) growing in southern Quebec and allowed larvae to complete their development into pupae. Blueberry maggot pupae were recovered from Vaccinium corymbosum, Vaccinium angustifolium, and Gaylussacia baccata, indicating that these plants are suitable for larval development. Second, are harsh winter temperatures a factor limiting the northern distribution of the blueberry maggot? Pupae collected in Quebec and Nova Scotia were put in the soil in the fall and were brought back to the laboratory to determine their supercooling points at different times during winter. The supercooling points of pupae collected in Quebec and Nova Scotia averaged -22.6°C. In natural conditions, air temperatures <-20°C are frequently observed in Quebec in January, February and March. However, due to snow cover, soil temperatures are rarely <-12°C. U pacientů, u kterých se manifestoval diabetes mellitus, dochází po měsících až desetiletích trvání choroby k vyhasnutí sekrece inzulinu, což je téměř jistým znamením úbytku B-buněk Langerhansových ostrůvků. U souboru 30 pacientů, u kterých se choroba manifestovala mezi 30–45 roky a byli diagnostikováni jako diabetici 2. typu, má po 30 letech trvání choroby polovina zachovanou nebo vyšší sekreci inzulinu, druhá polovina pak sekreci výrazně sníženou nebo vyhaslou. Faktory, které postihují B-buňky a vedou k jejich destrukci, můžeme shrnout do následujících skupin: 1. Faktory chemické: faktory metabolické: hyperglykemie a glukotoxicita, lipotoxicita, hypoxie, volné kyslíkové radikály, faktory farmakologické: anitimikrobiální prostředek pentamidin, antidepresiva typu SSRI, faktory spojené s poruchou sekrece inzulinu: MODY typy diabetu, toxické látky ze zevního prostředí: jed na krysy Vacor, streptozotocin, polychlorované či polybromované uhlovodíky 2. Onemocnění zevně sekretorické části pankreatu: nádorová infiltrace, vazivová infiltrace, chronická pankreatitida 3. Infekce, zánět a autoimunita: faktory virové: Coxsackie viry, virus chřipky H1N1, enteroviry, záněty: autoimunní faktory, představující patogenetický faktor diabetu 1. typu. V současné době pracujeme jak na další specifikaci dalších faktorů vedoucích k poškození B-buněk, tak na studiu poznání jejich účinku na buněčnou apoptózu respektive nekrózu, a konečně na definici ochranných faktorů, které by účinky působení těchto faktorů snížily. S nárůstem vědomostí o mechanizmech poškození a destrukce B-buněk se rýsují návrhy některých opatření, která by je mohla chránit. V našem přehledu podáváme zestručnělý a s ohledem na rozsah článku také notně zjednodušený přehled některých znalostí, které se poškození a destrukce B-buněk týkají. In our sample of 30 type 2 diabetic patients, whose disease manifested between 30 and 45 years of age, about a half have retained or even increased insulin secretion 30 years later, while the other half exhibit a much diminished or lost insulin secretion. Factors that can damage or destroy beta-cells can be divided into the following groups: Metabolic factors: hyperglycemia and glucotoxicity, lipotoxicity, hypoxia, reactive oxygen species; Pharmacological factors: antimicrobial medication pentamidine, SSRI antidepressants; Factors related to impaired insulin secretion: MODY type diabetes; Environmental toxic factors: rat poison Vacor, streptozotocin, polychlorinated and polybrominated hydrocarbons; Disorders of the exocrine pancreas: tumor infiltration, fibrous infiltration, chronic pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis; Infections, inflammation, autoimmunity, viral factors: Coxsackie viruses, H1N1 influenza, enteroviruses. We are currently working on finding other factors leading to beta-cell damage, studying their effect on apoptosis and necrosis and looking for possible protective factors to prevent this damage. We our increasing knowledge about the mechanisms of beta-cell damage and destruction we come ever closer to suggest measures for their prevention. Apolipoprotein E (apoE) is a polymorphic protein which occurs in three common isoforms and more than 25 rare variants. Some of the rare apoE variants have been implicated in a dominant mode of inheritance of familial dysbetalipoproteinemia (FD). We have identified three unrelated apoE 2*(Arg136®Cys) carriers with FD. This finding supports the notion that although apoE 2*(Arg136®Cys) mutation is perhaps not sufficient to cause FD itself, the presence of other genetic and/or environmental factors can lead to the phenotypic expression of the disease in the carriers., M. Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is the most common autosomal dominant disorder. It is characterized by a de crease in LDL cholesterol catabolism and an early clinical manifestation of atherosclerotic vessel damage. The aim of the MedPed (Make early diagnosis to Prevent early deaths) project is an early diagnosis of FH patients in order to profit from early treat ment and prevent cardiov ascular events. Till November 30, 2016 The Czech National MedPed Database has registered 7,001 FH patients from 5,223 different families that is 17.4 % of expected patients in the Czech Republic considering 1:250 FH prevalence. The improvement in diagnostic accuracy, patient cooperation and above all familial cascade screening is enabled by FH mutation detection using the modern technology of next-generation sequencing. FH still remain undiagnosed even though the Czech Republic is on e of the most successful countries with respect to FH detection. The opportunities of international collaboration and experience sharing within international programs (e.g. EAS FHSC, ScreenPro FH etc.) will improve the detection of FH patients in the futur e and enable even more accessible and accurate genetic diagnostics., M.
