The article presents results of a study of the relationship 'locus of control health and subjective wellbeing. In a heterogeneous sample (N = 239) in the stage of youth (1930 years) shall be established: locus of control determines 11.56% of the changes in the assessment of health, changes in health contribute to 12.82% of the variation in assessment of happiness and 6.10% in the measurement of life satisfaction. Young people with an internal locus of control are healthier, happier and more satisfied with their lives than those with an external locus of control. In a study of cause effect relationship is established that internal locus of control determines a healthier lifestyle. Inadequate health care, more severe risk factors (stress, unhealthy diet, inadequate sleep, smoking) among young people with an external locus of control, outline prospects for greater vulnerability of this group of the population of the so called "Diseases of modern society." Cíl: Cílem studie bylo zjistit potencionální riziko hypertenze u dětí ve věku 14 – 15 let dvojím standardním měřením krevního tlaku a zmapovat moţný vztah mezi hodnotami krevního tlaku dětí a jejich vybranými sociodemografickými faktory a tělesnými parametry. Metodika: Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 143 ţáků 8. a 9. tříd základních škol v Ostravě zapojených do projektu Zdravá škola. Data byla získána měřením fyziologických funkcí a antropometrických dat a doplňujícími otázkami na vybrané rizikové faktory kardiovaskulárních chorob. Výsledky: Měření krevního tlaku (TK) proběhla opakovaně, při druhém měření byla prokázána odlišnost naměřených hodnot TK mezi pohlavími, kdy u chlapců byly hodnoty TK vyšší neţ u děvčat. Bylo potvrzeno, ţe na hodnoty TK má vliv pohybová aktivita, a to zejména u dětí s vysokými hodnotami BMI. U normálních hodnot BMI korelace mezi hodnotou krevního tlaku a pohybovou aktivitou nebyla statisticky významná. Z rizikové skupiny 14 dětí s rodinnou predispozicí hypertenze bylo evidováno 29 % dětí s průměrnou hodnotou TK v pásmu pro 95. percentil (hypertenzní hodnoty) vzhledem k danému věku, pohlaví a výšce. Závěr: Výskyt vysokého TK byl četnější u dětí s nadváhou a obezitou. Pohybová aktivita ovlivňovala hodnotu krevního tlaku, zvláště pak právě u dětí s nadváhou a obezitou, kdy hodnoty TK u těchto dětí, které necvičily, byly vyšší neţ u dětí cvičících. Pravidelným měřením a správným zhodnocením TK můţe sestra včas zachytit děti a adolescenty s rizikovými parametry., Aim: The aim of the thesis is to examine potential risk of hypertension in children aged 14 - 15 years by two standard measurements of blood pressure and to find out possible relation between values of blood pressure in children and their selected socio-demographic factors and physical parameters. Methods: The research was carried out on 143 pupils from elementary schools in Ostrava, which participate in the project „Zdravá škola“(Healthy School). The data were obtained from measuring of physiological functions, survey of anthropometric data and further questions focused on particular risk factors for cardiovascular diseases. Results: The second measurement revealed a difference in values of blood pressure between sexes, when boys had higher blood pressure than girls. The research confirmed that blood pressure is influenced by physical activity, especially in children with high value of BMI. In children with lower values of BMI, the correlation between the value of blood pressure and physical activity was not statistically relevant. From a high-risk group of 14 children with genetic predisposition, 29% of children had average value of blood pressure in range of 95. percentile (hypertension) given age, sex and height. Conclusion: The occurrence of high blood pressure is common in children who suffer from overweight and obesity. The value of blood pressure is influenced by physical activity, especially in overweight and obese children, when value of blood pressure in the children who did not practice, were higher in children than exercisers. Cíl: Cílem pilotní studie bylo zjistit, zda dochází v průběhu klokánkování ke snížení srdeční a dechové frekvence u nedonošených novorozenců, zjistit zda klokánkování ovlivní periferní saturaci krve kyslíkem a délku hospitalizace nedonošených novorozenců na Jednotce intenzivní a resuscitační péče o novorozence. Dále zjistit, zda klokánkování ovlivňuje interakci matka - dítě. Metodika: Metodou studie byl experiment. Technikou sběru dat k posouzení efektu klokánkování bylo měření fyziologických funkcí. Interakce mezi matkami a jejich dětmi byly měřeny dotazníkem - Maternal Postnatal Attachment Scale (MPAS). Ke statistickému zpracování byl využit t-test pro dva výběry, neparametrický Wilcoxonův test, chí test a Fisherův exaktní test. Statistické testy byly hodnoceny na hladině významnosti 5 %. Výsledky: Z fyziologických funkcí byl signifikantně potvrzen vzestup tělesné teploty. Při porovnání intervenční a kontrolní skupiny před klokánkováním nebyl v interakcích matek k jejich dětem zaznamenán žádný signifikantní rozdíl. Před propuštěním (resp. po klokánkování) byl zájem o dítě u matek klokánkovaných dětí významně vyšší (p = 0,0354) oproti matkám, které své dítě neklokánkovaly. Ve všech položkách MPAS byla úroveň připoutání ke klokánkovanému dítěti před propuštěním vyšší než u neklokánkovaných novorozenců. Závěr: Klokánkování prokázalo pozitivní efekt na nedonošené novorozence v oblasti vzestupu tělesné teploty, zvýšeného zájmu o potřeby novorozence a silnějšího připoutání matky k novorozenci., Objective: The pilot study aimed at determining whether kangaroo mother care decreases heart and respiration rates in preterm newborns, affects saturation of peripheral oxygen and length of newborns’ hospital stay at a neonatal intensive care unit, and influences mother-child interaction. Methods: The method of study was an experiment. To assess the effect of kangaroo mother care, physiological functions were measured. Mother-child interaction was assessed using the Maternal Postnatal Attachment Scale (MPAS). Statistical analyses were carried out with a two-sample t-test, non-parametric Wilcoxon test, chisquare test and Fischer’s exact test. The statistical tests were evaluated at a significance level of 5%. Results: Of the physiological functions studied, only body temperature was confirmed to be significantly increased. There was no significant difference in mother-child interaction prior to kangaroo care between the study and control groups. After kangaroo care (i.e. prior to hospital discharge), interest in their babies was significantly higher (p=0.0354) in mothers providing kangaroo care than in the controls. In all MPAS items, pre-discharge levels of maternal bonding were higher in the group of children provided with kangaroo care than in the controls. The article presents results of peculiarities of the hepatobiliary system in pregnant women with preeclampsia. It is set in the pregnant with preeclampsia of mild severity the frequency and combination of two and more complaints was reliably lower comparing to the frequency and combination of complaints in the pregnant with preeclampsia of mean severity. It must be mentioned that the received laboratory data positively correlated with the clinical manifestations of hepatobiliary dysfunction and the level of severity of preeclampsia that makes the further scientific researches necessary in future. Introduction Cutaneous malignant melanoma prevalence, incidence and mortality rates are increasing in white populations worldwide more rapidly than any other cancer site (American Cancer Society, 2006). Despite the potential importance of regular skin selfexamination and promotion of selfprotection practices, little is known about the prevalence of these practices in medical students in Albanian population. Methods This is a descriptive, quantitative crosssectional study. In this study were included a sample of 150 individuals chosen among the students of Faculty of Medicine based on their family history for skin cancer. This study was started on October the 3rd and finished on November the 12th. Subjects had to fill in a structured, selfadministered questionnaire. All participants lived within Republic of Albania but at the time of the study were students in University of Tirana, Faculty of Medicine. Results In this study that we conducted we included 150 individuals supposed to have a risk for skin cancer based on their family history. 200 individuals were approached for participation. Of these, 150 individuals returned questionnaire data, yielding a response rate of 75% among eligible, successfully contacted participants. The mean age of the sample was 20.05 years (Std. Dev. = 0.925), with males (22%) and females (78%) represented unequally, because the gender configuration of the faculty itself has gender disparities with more than 80% females and only 20% male students. The majority of the sample was born in city or town (85.3%), 14.7% was born in a village. In terms of income level, 79.3% of participants had a medium income family background, 15.3% high income and 5.3% had a low income level family background. Conclusion It is important for those individuals with family history for skin cancer (which inherently indicates risk for skin cancer) to develop selfexamination and SSE behaviours and practices in order to have a protection and at least an early detection (if onset) of the different forms of Melanoma. Cíl: Cílem kvalitativního šetření bylo zjistit, zda sociální nerovnost mezi rodičkami ovlivňuje přístup zdravotnického personálu k rodící ţeně a ţeně po porodu hospitalizované na oddělení šestinedělí a porovnat názory na tento přístup mezi zdravotnickým personálem a těmito ţenami. Metodika: Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 11 porodních asistentek a 12 ţen po porodu, které byly v době provádění výzkumu hospitalizované na oddělení šestinedělí. Výběr respondentek byl záměrný. Výzkum byl proveden pomocí kvalitativní metody, sběr dat byl proveden polostrukturovaným, individuálním rozhovorem a metodou obsahové analýzy. Výsledky: Z analýzy rozhovorů vyplynulo, ţe věk a výše vzdělání rodičky mají vliv na edukaci a spolupráci rodičky s porodní asistentkou, u některých porodních asistentek ovlivňují také samotný přístup porodní asistentky k rodičce. Co však také ovlivňuje přístup některých porodních asistentek, a to spíše v negativním slova smyslu, je příslušnost rodičky k minoritní skupině. Závěr: Sociální nerovnost mezi rodičkami má vliv nejen na přístup porodních asistentek k rodící ţeně a ţeně po porodu hospitalizované na oddělení šestinedělí, ale ovlivňuje také jiţ samotnou přípravu rodičky na porod, moţnost vyuţít přítomnost doprovodu u porodu či moţnost vyuţít zpoplatněných forem analgetizace v průběhu porodu., Aim: The aims of the qualitative research were to determine whether social inequality among women in labor affects the approach of health professionals to laboring women and those staying on a postnatal ward and to compare opinions on this approach between health professionals and these women. Methods: The group, selected by purposive sampling, comprised 11 midwives and 12 women staying on a postnatal ward while the research was conducted. Data for the qualitative research were collected using semi-structured individual interviews and content analysis. Results: The interview analysis showed that the age and level of education of women in labor have an impact on their education by and cooperation with midwives. And in some midwives, these also affect their attitude to laboring women. But what also influences the approach of some midwives, mostly in a negative sense, is laboring women’s belonging to a minority group. Cíl: Studie se zaměřuje na deskripci současného stavu poznání o resilienci rodičů sluchově postižených dětí. Metody: V rámci výzkumného přístupu EBN (Evidence Based Nursing) byl za výzkumnou metodu zvolen systematický přehled (systematic review). Byly sledovány tyto proměnné: místo výzkumu, metoda výzkumu, velikost vzorku, složení vzorku, cíl výzkumu, sledované proměnné, navrhované intervence, ošetřovatelské diagnózy NANDA-International. Výsledky: Z celkového počtu 280 nalezených studií bylo na základě vyřazovacích kritérií vybráno 26 studií kvantitativního charakteru. Bylo zjištěno, že žádná ze studií přímo s konceptem resilience nepracuje ani ve svých deklarovaných cílech ani v rámci zkoumaných proměnných. Závěry: Zdroje resilience bude možno odhalit pouze na základě kvalitativní sekundární analýzy obsahů studovaných textů., Aim: The objective of the research is to identify the state of knowledge about the resilience of parents of hearingimpaired children in relevant researches published up-to-day. Methods: The basic framework of the presented research is evidence-based nursing. The chosen technique is a systematic review. The following variables were monitored: location of the research, the research method, sample size, sample design, the objective of the research, variables, proposed interventions, NANDA-Int. nursing diagnosis. Results: The core sample consisted of 280 articles. On the basis of elimination criteria, most of them were rejected. Twenty six articles with quantitative methods fulfi lled the set criteria and were analysed. It was found that none of the studies works directly with the concept of resilience, neither in its declared objectives nor in the variables. Práce se zabývá řízením péče o nemocné celiakií. Jedná se o modelový případ řízení péče o chronicky nemocné. Analytickým rámcem práce je víceúrovňový inovativní model péče o chronicky nemocné. Klíčová je interakce mezi zdravotnickým týmem, který reprezentuje systém zdravotní péče, mezi komunitními partnery a mezi pacienty a jejich rodinami. V případu celiakie je pak nutno zahrnout také roli zástupců trhu s bezlepkovými potravinami. Interakce těchto aktérů se odehrává v širším politickém kontextu, jehož stav tuto interakci zásadním způsobem ovlivňuje a odráží se tak v konečných výsledcích stavu pacientů a kvalitě jejich života. Pomocí nástroje hodnocení kvality života pod - míněné zdravím SF-36 bylo zjištěno, že kvalita života celiaků je nižší ve srovnání s evropským standardem zdravé populace a že příčiny tohoto problému je nutno hledat a systematicky odstraňovat na všech úrovních systému péče o chronicky nemocné. Zjištění tak potvrzují teoretický předpoklad, že péče o chronicky nemocné je stále značně podceňována a neodpovídá specifickým potřebám chronicky nemocných pacientů, což se odráží právě na celkové kvalitě života., This work deals with coeliac disease management. The analytical framework of this work is the multilevel Innovative Care for Chronic Conditions Framework. Crucial is the interaction between health care team that represents health care system, community partners and patients with their families. In the case of coeliac disease it is necessary to include also the role of representatives of market with gluten free products. The interaction of these participants takes place in wider political context, whose state influences this interaction fundamentally and reflects so in final results state of patients and quality of their live. Using the evaluation of the quality of life tool SF-36, it has been ascertained, that the quality of life of coealiac patients is lower in comparison with European standard of healthy population and that the causes of the problem have to be searched and systematically removed at all levels of the system of chronic health care. Ciele: Cieľom práce bolo posúdiť spirituálnu tieseň u pacientov s depresívnou poruchou a identifikovať vzťah medzi takouto tiesňou a psychickým distresom. Metodika: Spirituálna tieseň bola posúdená Škálou životnej zmysluplnosti a subškálou existenciálna pohoda zo Škály spirituálnej pohody. Psychický distres bol posúdený dotazníkom SCL 90. Výsledky: Zistili sme, že pacienti s depresiou sú rizikoví z hľadiska prežívania spirituálnej tiesne. Zistili sme početné negatívne signifikantné vzťahy medzi znakmi spirituálnej tiesne a dimenziami psychického distresu. Vyššia miera spirituálnej tiesne bola spojená s vyšším psychickým distresom. Záver: Napriek absencii v ošetrovateľských plánoch je spirituálna tieseň závažný problém. Mimo iného prispieva k zintenzívneniu psychických problémov u pacientov s depresiou. Nedostatočná diagnostika a riešenie tejto diagnózy znižuje kvalitu poskytovanej ošetrovateľskej starostlivosti., Aim: The aim of work was to assess spiritual distress in patients with depressive disorder and to identify the relationship between such distress and psychological distress. Methods: To assess spiritual distress, we used Halama′s Life Meaningfulness Scale and as a sub-scale Existential well-being from Spiritual Well-being Scale. Psychological distress was assessed by SCL 90 questionnaire. Results: We found that patients with depression are at risk of experiencing spiritual distress. We found numerous significant negative relationships between variables of spiritual distress and dimensions of psychological distress. Higher level of spiritual distress was associated with higher psychological distress. Conclusion: Despite the absence of diagnosis Spiritual distress in a nursing care plan, it still remains a serious problem, which can lead to increased mental health problems in patients with depression. Competencies develop and changes throughout a persons life, they can gain or lose, going through various age stages. Their development does not end in youth, but continue on through the adult life. The ability to thing and reflect those thoughts specifically come forward in the center of structure of competency, which grows at the same time as the individual matures. One of the competency types is health competency. Health competency is a relatively new concept; it is not sufficiently researched. Aim of the study was to determine the factors of an adult individual health competency. 827 respondents participated in the study, in the processing of data was used SPSS. Was used factor analysis, analysis of variance with ANOVA and KruskalWallis test and Pearsons correlation. It was found that health competency is affected by several factors. These are: health education, health behavior, and the value of the environment. Each of the sets was distributed to key factors.
