Úlohu mechaniky v biomechanice vidí především v co nejhlubším pochopení fyzikální podstaty biologických dějů a jejich co nejadekvátnějším vyjádřením v rámci fyziky, kterou je však často nutno užívat ve formě podstatně složitější, než je fyzika středoškolská., This article is based on the author's experiences as both a university lecturer of mechanics and a researcher in polymer physics working now in biomechanics. The impression of the role of mechanics in biomechanics is shown on several examples taken mainly from the author's experience. The interrelations of different processes engaged in the multidisciplinary biomechanics are also discussed. The role of mechanics in biomechanics is seen in deep physical understanding of the solved problem and in adequate physical interpretation of the gained results. As the biomechanical problems are often very difficult to solve, the more general physics that is that taught at grammar schools must be used. The physician's knowledge of the human body functions are so deep that only the main features of the knowledge may be expressed in physical terms even if very advanced theories are used., Antonín Havránek., and Obsahuje bibliografii
Boseova-Einsteinova kondenzace (BEC) má dlouhou a bohatou historii, jejíž počátky sahají do poloviny dvacátých let minulého století. V tomto článku si ji krátce projdeme a připomeneme si některé etapy vývoje fyziky, které umožnily naše úspěšné bádání BEC v plynech. V celém článku se pokoušíme vysvětlit, čím je Boseova-Einsteinova kondenzace v zředěném plynu tak zajímavá, jedinečná a experimentálně náročná., Eric A. Cornell a Carl E. On 19th February 2016 exactly 100 years passed since the death of Ernst Mach, the great physicist and philosopher of the 19th and 20th centuries, a native of Brno-Chrlice. On the occasion of this anniversary, Masaryk University and other institutions organised Ernst Mach Brno-Days 2016 with the conference "Ernst Mach: Physics - Philosophy - Technics" and other events. The presented brief report informs about these events. and Jana Musilová.
Dnešní výklad Brownova pohybu vychází z předpokladu, že kapalina či plyn mají nespojitou strukturu a současné učebnice mu zpravidla nevěnují vice než několik řádků. Příspěvek rekapituluje fyzikálněhistorické souvislovsti a připomíná teoretické rozbory různých aspektů Brownova pohybu - provedené Abertem Einsteinem a Jeanem Perrinem -, jež po svém důvtipném a velice pracném Perrinově všestranném experimentálním ověření přivedly dvěma odlišnými cestami k nepochybnému závěru o částicové struktuře látek., From a physics and historical point of view, this article reviews the theoretical analyses of different aspects of Browninan motion carried out by Albert Einstein and Jean Perrin, which after experimental confirmation by Perrin, have led to two independent methods for the undoubte conclusion of the discrete structure of matter., Aleš Lacina., and Obsahuje seznam literatury
Researchers at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) near Geneva have started to seriously discuss the need for a new large accelerator for future generations of particle physicists. The most likely scenario seems to be a collider built in the Geneva area with a circumference of 80 or 100 km in which protons would collide (as is the case of the existing Large Hadron Collider at CERN). Other options are also being considered, such as the electron-positron collider which would precede the proton machine or electron-proton collider. The main scientific motivation is to find signals of new physics (i.e. those not predicted by the Standard Model of elementary particles) and/or to measure properties of the recently discovered Higgs boson with much higher precision than that foreseen to be achieved by the end of LHC in about 20 years. A sufficiently fast development of various technologies is the key to this new powerful accelerator. For the proton machine, the main components are magnets with high magnetic field that are expected to be built based on high-temperature superconducting materials, while the lepton machine needs a new generation of accelerating cavities with a high gradient of electric field, high power transfer efficiency and high reliability., Marek Taševský., and Obsahuje seznam literatury
Proběhl zásluhou úspěšného propojení matematicky obtížných a časově náročných výpočtů ve Francii, Anglii a krátkého pozorování v Německu., The discovery of planet Neptune is one of the greatest events in the history of celestian mechanics. Le Verrier and simultaneously Adam applied inverse perturbation theory to the problem of Uranus, whose irregularities in motion could be used for determination of the orbit and mass of a yet unknown planet. These very complicated computations were successfully finished in summer 1846. Neptune was discovered by Johann Galle using le Verrier‘s predictions in September of the same year proving that the mathematical methods and numerical calculations were not fundamentally flawed. Therefore, dicovery of Neptune cannot be considered as accidental., and Vladimír Štefl.
